Ever since Kellen Moore shook hands with the New Orleans Saints, the pieces in the organization have been moving at a faster pace. And the vibe of the best player’s arrival feels different as a Saints fan. However, they need to beef up their squad within a cap space of $16.189 million. Now one of their veteran has put forward a demand.

As everything is hyped up for the upcoming season, Saints defensive end Cam Jordan is no exception. After spending 14 seasons in black and gold, the team welcomed him for 15th again. BUT, the star defensive end happy to be here (as he announced being in the city feels like home in the Wolf of the Wall Street style), Cam Jordan has something important to convey to the head coach, Kellen Moore. During his appearance at the ‘iHearts Podcast’ on March 15, he demanded something strong from Moore. “My contract says, you know, I got another year on it. So unless they cut me, I’m not leaving, or I’m not taking a pay reduction. Cam Jordan started his confession with his contract signing.

But one of the most important confessions he admitted was- “We’re going to take this year by year. So, 15, let’s figure this out. The family loves it here. The community work that I do here, it’s a part of me.” And importantly, in addition to this, Jordan demanded, “I’ve always said I want to win a Super Bowl in the black and gold. So if it ain’t no less of black and gold, maybe it’s not for me.” The 35-year-old legendary defender also said that if the team wants numbers, he’s not just gonna give them. Instead, what he wanted to say is that all types of things he wants to do in NOLA will have the ultimate aim of winning the Lombardi.

As Saints’ No. 94 has said, “At the end of the day, this is where I want to be.” And he meant it. Since his induction into the big leagues, Cam Jordan has never let the organization move him to another team. As part of the black and gold army, he dreams of winning that silver beauty on February 8, 2026.

But let’s not be overly optimistic—the team has a lot of work to do. They ended the last NFL season with a 5-12 record, a heartbreaking finish for Saints fans, who saw their favorite team land at the bottom of the NFC South. But do you know what’s even more heartbreaking? It’s losing Cooper Kupp to the Seattle Seahawks.

Hold on, though. Even though the franchise has lost Kupp, there’s still one more horse Kellen Moore can add to his stable.

Kellen Moore should not lose this wide receiver

Several sources reported a day ago that Cooper Kupp was on the radar of the New Orleans Saints. But as the Seahawks have added him with a three-year deal, there is one more beast Kellen Moore should not miss out on. And the opportunity is to not lose five-time Pro Bowler Amari Cooper helping Derek Carr to lead the team. Everybody knows who he is.

The 30-year-old wide receiver entered free agency after spending the 2024 season with the Buffalo Bills. He also had an opportunity to sign with the Washington Commanders, but according to sources, the deal didn’t move forward.

Spotrac currently projects Cooper to secure a deal worth just over $37 million over two years. If the Saints were interested in Kupp, this type of contract wouldn’t be an issue for them. The question of whether to sign Kupp to a lucrative contract and release Amari Cooper if he becomes a free agent is also under debate concerning Kellen Moore’s team.

The wideout made 44 rushing attempts in the 2024 season, where he was part of Josh Allen’s team. Indeed, he has made four touchdowns, which signifies that the wideout still has that monstrous energy in him to wipe out the defenders in his 30s.

Per experts of Sports Illustrated, Kellen Moore must go for Amari Cooper if the offensive squad has one seat left. With Cam Jordan on the defensive end, Derek Carr and Amari Cooper can be a deadly combination for the Saints. Let’s see if Kellen Moore could get him on the roster.
