Over his 2 decades of football career, Aaron Rodgers has emerged as a leader. And he is known to be the one who is never shy about expressing his opinions. So, on his December 10 appearance on ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show, he criticized the network and its analysts. He said, “There’s a lot of people talking about the game now. I’m talking about these experts on TV who nobody remembers what they did in their career.” Analysts and reporters didn’t like the comments.

However, former NFL guard and Super Bowl winner Ryan Clark went over the line in retaliation. He went off on the QB and said on the December 13 episode of ESPN’s First Take show, “This dude is once again, tone deaf. This dude is once again, unaware.” But he didn’t stop there and was merciless in his jibe as he added, “This dude is once again, arrogant, to a point that’s almost sickening. This dude is a fraud. He’s been a fraud.” This was a long time coming. There has been a bitter war between the Jets’ QB and the media.

It started in 2020, when there were conflicts regarding his vaccination status. The Packers legend had then implied that the vaccine companies and media organizations were hand in glove to promote the vaccines. In 2021, Aaron Rodgers and former Steelers coach turned analyst Bill Cowher got into a conflict because of performance. After a defeat to the Saints, Cowher remarked that the QB didn’t care about results. A-rod replied, “These people have not been around me, they aren’t in my life and I don’t have communication with them.” The drama returned in the 2024 season but with a slight change.

Ryan Clark is also a former Steelers guy. And he has been critical of Rodgers’s performance this year. Two months back in October, he had called the QB a ‘catfish’ in comparison to the greats, like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. He had questioned his leadership even then as well.

However, the fans are furious. And they are attacking the player-turned-analyst. Some replies are just outrageous.

Fans troll Ryan Clark for his Aaron Rodgers comments

One A-rod loyalist attacked the former guard on his credentials and wrote, “Aaron Rodgers might be washed but I think everyone is wondering who is Ryan Clark?” Another one claimed that the quarterback will achieve more in his life after football after Clark and commented, “Pretty sure he’s gonna go farther than Ryan Clark after he’s done with football.” These comments will definitely pinch the First Take panelist.

Another fan justified Aaron Rodgers but also trolled Stephen A Smith who was in the show with Clark and tweeted, “Ryan Clark is just Stephen A Smith with an Athletic resume.” However, one football brought out an important game which might have fueled Clark’s hate for the QB. A-rod’s only Super win came against the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, and Clark was playing against him. The fan then wrote, “He’s still b——- he got cooked in the Super Bowl.” That’s a below-the-belt punch.

Another fan also shared a similar sentiment and commented, “Aaron fried you in the Super Bowl btw.” That’s some serious critique of the analyst. However, there’s no reply from the Jets QB yet. Everyone is waiting for what he has to say about it. It would be exciting.
