Subsequently, notable personalities including American singer Ciara and her compatriots, the Williams sisters are also expected to make an appearance. For the uninitiated, the Compton-raised sisters have scripted several jaw-dropping records during their time in the WTA Tour. After the former World No. 1 announced her retirement in 2022, Serena Williams has now diverted her focus on expanding her numerous business portfolios.

However, Venus Williams did not follow in her sister’s footsteps. Rather, the five-time Wimbledon champion decided to further try her luck in the WTA Tour. She is currently remodeling her clothing venture ‘EleVen’ and will be looking to relaunch her brand later this year. It is worth noting that Ciara Wilson is a close friend of the Williams sisters. She has often extended her support to the duo and actively cheered for them during their on-court showdowns.

Meanwhile, Russell Wilson’s era as the Steelers’ QB will officially kick off later this year. They will mark their season’s first face-off with the Atlanta Falcons on September 8, 2024.

Can Russell Wilson be the Pittsburgh Steelers’ QB1?

The veteran quarterback will be entering the 13th season of his NFL career with the Steelers this year after struggling for two seasons with the Denver Broncos. It is no surprise that the Steelers have been looking for a long-term quarterback ever since Ben Roethlisberger retired. Subsequently, the team was left with their backup quarterback Mason Rudolph, but later picked Kenny Pickett in the 2022 NFL draft. The Steelers also took on Mitch Trubisky in the same year.

Fast forward to the current season and the team has no longer retained any of these three quarterbacks. After adding a handful of QBs earlier this offseason, it is still unclear who will be their long-term quarterback – Wilson or Justin Fields. On one hand, Fields delivered decent results while representing the Chicago Bears, whereas the veteran’s QB experience could potentially benefit the franchise this season.

Even though Mike Tomlin went ahead to call Wilson as the “pole position” in the team, there’s a lack of certainty around who QB1 will be. Despite all this confusion, the veteran QB is happy to work with Fields. However, whether Wilson will get a shot at redeeming himself with the Steelers or not is yet to be answered.
