Russell Wilson’s wife, Ciara Wilson, is drawing another spotlight to her impressive singing resume. This September is bringing up new things for the Wilson couple. On one hand, the quarterback is starting with the Pittsburgh Steelers and aims to win his second Super Bowl, as he recently hinted using his age factor in one of his recent social media posts. Meanwhile, Ciara is gearing up to celebrate her debut album’s 20th Anniversary, but with a little change.

According to a latest update, Ciara Wilson is reissuing a vinyl edition of her debut album “Goodies” for its 20th anniversary. She also shared this update on her Instagram story. However, there’s a twist in the tale. The Grammy winner is removing one song “Next To You,” which features R. Kelly, from the original track list. This song was written and produced by jailed RnB popstar Crooner, who also made a vocal contribution to the song. As per rumors, this move by Ciara might be to avoid any controversy. Except this, all other songs from the original album will be included.

Additionally, three bonus songs will be added – “Crazy,” “Represent Me,” and a dance remix of “Goodies.” It also includes Missy Elliott-assisted “1,2 Step,” the song which was nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. The limited edition will be a 2 LP vinyl in opaque pink and will be available on September 27, just before the album’s 20th anniversary on September 28. Ciara’s 2004 debut album “Goodies” topped the Billboard Top 100 for seven weeks. Furthermore, it sold 125,000 copies its first week, hitting third spot on the Billboard 200.

Besides posting an Instagram story, Ciara Wilson also dropped the news on her IG post. Along with the teaser post, she also shared an old video of hers talking about “Goodies.” Additionally, to express her feelings, the singer wrote a caption, reading: “20 Years later. Still CiCi. Happy 20th Anniversary Goodies!” with three pink hearts. However, she didn’t stop here.

Seeing the overwhelming comments for her, CiCi wrote – “I’ll never forget this day I released my single Goodies. I had tears in my eyes as I was rolling through the drive-through. My dream was really coming true!” in the comment section. Wasting no time, her husband, Russell Wilson, too showed his cheer and support for his lady, calling her an “ICON.”

He further added, “Love you so much Baby! 20 years later and you still look like your 20.” However, this support between the couple is two-ways.  Ciara, too, has showed her loud cheer for husband in his games. Even when Wilson was released from the Broncos, she was there holding his hand in his tough phase.

This March, after being released, the quarterback wrote, “Over these last two years, you have welcoming my family and me with open arms and have embraced us as members of the Denver community. This city will always hold a special place in my heart….Tough times don’t last, but tough people do” on social media. Supporting him, the proud wife shared a sweet message in the comments of the post – “One of One! My greatest inspiration! I love you.”

They indeed have a strong bond! And it won’t be wrong to say that the relationship is an inspiration for many of their fans.
