“The stars are aligning.” Many fans on social media have chimed in with a potential move this offseason. Reports indicate Russell Wilson will not re-sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 2025 season, making him a potential candidate for the Raiders‘ QB role. And guess what? If this happens, he will unite former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, and aim for their next Super Bowl together. So, stars are indeed aligning well. But that’s not only where the stars are coming together to bless Wilson. Another news has already favored the QB.

Russell Wilson is named in the 2025 Pro Bowl games. It happened when AFC runner-up Josh Allen refused to participate due to an injury. Hence, the Steelers quarterback is extremely happy and excited about this honor. Not only that!

The 36-year-old quarterback also shared a story on his official Instagram account. Originally shared by the Steelers’s official IG profile, this update features a poster of Russell Wilson holding a football in his hands while being ready for a throw. Hence, sharing the same, the QB wrote three words: “God is Good!!!

Russell Wilson started 11 games of the 2024 season, where he completed 214 of 336 passes for 2,482 yards. During this, he was able to record a total of 16 touchdowns and five INTs. In addition, Wilson also rushed (43) for 155 yards and 2 TDs. Now that Josh Allen cannot participate in the Pro Bowls despite being this year’s fan’s favorite, the opportunity shifted to Mr. Unlimited.

Therefore, Russell Wilson is happy to get the opportunity from Allen, as he is thanking God for his “10th Pro Bowl” appearance. But he isn’t alone in celebrating the honor.

Russell Wilson got support from his better half!

No doubt, Russell Wilson getting the chance in the Pro Bowl is surprising for many. This is because the Steelers ended their last five games with a losing streak, the latest one was the wildcard round against the Ravens. Now this is obviously a devastating way to end a strong season, especially when it’s Wilson’s first and potentially last with the franchise. That’s the reason some critics have been questioning his selection into the Pro Bowl.

Nevertheless, Russell Wilson is happy to find support in his partner, Ciara Wilson. This is evident in the singer’s latest story update on Tuesday. She re-shared the Pro Bowl post of the team and dropped some black and gold heart emojis. With this, it was clear that she was cheering up for her hubby, being unconcerned about any doubts.

This will be Russell Wilson’s 10th Pro Bowl appearance after 2021 – the first one after his Seahawks stint (he received in 2012-15 and 2017-21). Besides him, QBs like Baker Mayfield and Drake Maye also replaced Jayden Daniels and Lamar Jackson, respectively, in the Pro Bowl 2025.
