Seattle continues to make changes to their roster for 2025! After parting ways with Geno Smith to the Raiders, Seahawks’ latest trade hit like a blindside sack. As per sources, the Seahawks traded DK Metcalf to the Steelers in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick. And it left Steelers players and fans surprised. Well, after his trade, none other than Steelers safety DeShon Elliott expressed his exhilaration.

Taking to his official Instagram handle, DeShon Elliott showcased his thrilled feelings. He shared the animated GIF short clip, featuring the guy dancing with a bang. It showcased that Elliott is pumped about the DK Metcalf trade.

ESPN NFL reporter Brooke Pryor even re-shared his reaction to Metcalf’s trade on her X handle.  “Safe to say DeShon Elliott is pumped about the DK Metcalf trade,” she mentioned in the post.

However, Elliott is not the one who exhibited his joy over the blockbuster trade with the Seahawks. Interestingly, other Steelers players also seemed pleased with Metcalf Trade. Impresively, placekicker Chris Boswell and cornerback Beanie Bishop also exhibited his feelings after DK Metcalf Trade. They took to their social media to share their rection on the same.

With DK Metcalf signing, the Steelers are looking for the best season ahead.  And the veteran wide receiver’s previous season records and stats absolutely drew Steelers’s Mike Tomlin’s attention.

Clearly, Diontae Johnson’s trade to the Carolina Panthers during the last season left the Steelers with a significant wide receiver shortfall. Hence, the Steelers now do not want to face such an issue this season. Metcalf’s trade is the testament to this.  As per several sources, Metcalf 27 inked the five-year hefty contract deal of $150 million with Wilson’s Team. Even NFL official X handle confirmed about his new contract with the Steelers.  And, with this historic deal, Metcalf has become the most expensive WR in Steelers history.

Reportedly,  the second-team All-Pro WR joined the Steelers after he requested a trade to the Seahawks. Interestingly, in the 2024 season, Metcalf drew significant limelight by posting 66 passes for 992 yards. He made a total of 12 starts out of 15 games last season.

Additionally, Metcalf, who spent 6 seasons with the Seahawks, made a total of 93 starts in his career while he appeared in a total of 97 games.  The former Seahawk’s second-round pick of the 2019 draft recorded 48 touchdowns and 438 receptions for 6,324 yards in his career.  And now he is all set to throw passes with dynamic WR George Pickens. Interestingly, his trade sparks speculation about quarterback Russell Wilson’s return to the team as he enters free agency next week.
