Yo, there can be 65,536 different ways for the NFL teams to win the remaining 16 games but Steelers star quarterback Russell Wilson wants only one thing from the guys. The Pittsburgh Steelers have marched to secure the playoff spot but Mike Tomlin’s team has not qualified for the playoffs just to play in the playoffs, they obviously want more. So, the franchise is marching with their 10-6 record for the regular season finale and QB Russell Wilson has imposed a strong message for the locker room while “playing clean football”.
In a chat with the NFL reporters, Wilson talked about the next game and also crossing the gridiron’s entry line for the Bengals game without being careless. Mike indirectly delivered a great message to the locker room when he said, “[In past games] We didn’t blink and we cannot blink now. I think the best thing we can do is, you know, focused practices, detailed meetings, and everything else.”
But before saying that Russell Wilson didn’t hold back from sharing their general strategy and mindset for the final game in Pittsburgh. He said, “I think we just gotta get focused on the fundamentals of the game and still play clean football… So, [we] still be aggressive in our mentality and approach.” He also added that they don’t play Conservative in terms of how they play. And for the game, the Steelers #3 continued saying, “But I’m looking forward to the opportunity that we got, man! We got an opportunity to play at home, the last game for the year, in front of our fans…and here we go to playoffs.”

Have you watched Mike Tomlin’s interview with NFL’s sideline reporter Erin Andrews? Man, from that single convo, we get to know what the Steelers head coach thinks and why he is so great with Russell Wilson and Co. He has the same spirit and fire in the belly, even after 14 years of 14-year-long tenure in Pittsburgh, that he doesn’t like losing three times in a row. The Eagles on Dec 16, the Ravens on Dec 22, and the Christmas Day game, the Steelers have lost all these games despite having a great start with Russell Wilson.
So, Mike is not gonna tolerate that kind of stuff. He has used strong words for the team to dominate in the next game to break this losing streak despite they have clinched the playoff spot. Tomlin said, “We got to get the stench of the last few performances off of us, and there’s no better way to do that than a home divisional win versus a formidable group going into the tournament, and so that’s our mentality as we stand here today.”

But with that being said, he tremendously believes in his people, and how can say this? Mike himself told to the reporters, “Certainly we’re a motivated group to be quite honest with you.” So, he wants Wilson, George Pickens, T. J. Watt, Najee Harris, and all the guys to bring back on their plays to have to showdown before the playoffs and boost confidence.
