McAfee emphasized Steelers Radio host Gerry Dulac’s post on X, highlighting that Wilson and the Steelers are interested in each other, and the Pittsburgh team is trying to set up a meeting with the former Broncos QB. McAfee pointed out that Wilson might meet the Steelers’ management before Monday.
He also highlighted that Wilson will be playing for a league minimum of $1.2 million, allowing his future team to cultivate better talent around him. This also makes him more welcome to any team he is interested in. McAfee also pointed out that the Wilson-Pickett combo might work out.
He passed the buck to Tone Diggs, who shared that Wilson had 28 TDs and eight interceptions in one season, which took the Steelers two years to achieve as a team. McAfee intervened and mentioned that the Steelers are the best team for Wilson, judging by the “way he operates.”

But if Russell Wilson goes in and wins, that is the perfect city for him,” said McAfee while speculating about Wilson. But Wilson joining the Steelers makes more sense as the saga unfolds.
