“I’m coming to win, big, soon,” wrote Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty in his message to the NFL teams. It’s clear. He wants to be the next big thing in the league. But the draft plans need heavy work. Raiders GM John Spytek and HC Pete Carroll want to make the best moves. While everything is going on, the game rests on the shoulders of the top 3 teams. Titans, Browns, and Giants are the top 3 teams (sequentially). All other teams are looking at these three to move up in the first round. But Russell Wilson & co. are trying to raise the suspense.
According to NY Giants insider Wesley Steinberg, the Giants have big plans for the draft. They want to first draft the running back as the number 3 pick, and then jump back up to draft Alabama QB Jalen Milroe. It’s a wild theory that will definitely set off John Spytek vs the Giants GM Joe Schoen.
Ashton Jeanty is the most preferred player for Pete Carroll. He chose Geno Smith over Russell Wilson for the quarterback position in 2025. Now this update will ruffle their feathers. It would also be a surprise if the Boise State RB gets drafted so early. He will also serve as their backup for RB Josh Jacobs.

#Giants have entertained the idea of taking RB Ashton Jeanty at 3 then trading up back into the first round for QB Jalen Milroe to have an electric backfield.

He left the franchise for the Packers in 2024. Last year, the Raiders struggled on offense. They were 27th in total net yards per game (303.2) and at the bottom with 79.8 rushing yards per game. Many ex-NFLers, including Ryan Clark, are in favor of the Raiders drafting the Boise State athlete. Will the Giants play the spoilsport?
They want to assemble the best team possible. In this scenario, it becomes extremely essential for them to retain their key players. But they have a different strategy in mind this time.
What’s your perspective on:
Is trading Kayvon Thibodeaux a smart move, or are the Giants making a huge mistake?

Russell Wilson’s Giants are ready to trade a 3-year veteran
The Giants’ first-round pick (5th overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft, LB Kayvon Thibodeaux, was in a great position until this free agency. In 3 seasons, the linebacker recorded 43 games (all starters) and had 11 defended passes, 6 forced fumbles, 21 sacks, 46 QB Hits, and 127 tackles (73 solo). But the team is ready to trade him. For what? To get more draft picks!

Russell Wilson & co. want to change the dynamics of the locker room. But it’s not clear if GM Joe Schoen’s draft plan will sit well with the Super Bowl winner. It’s a similar move to the veteran Kirk Cousins. The Falcons signed him last year as their starter. However, in the 2024 NFL draft, they went ahead and signed Michael Penix Jr. as their starter.

Another theory suggests that the Giants could draft Penn State DE Abdul Carter as a replacement. That brings us to the logical question: how many players will they draft in the first round? Carter is arguably the best defensive player available in this year’s draft class. So, signing him will ruffle the feathers of those NFL franchises interested in strengthening their defensive department.
