“God, You are Forever FAITHFUL!” Russell Wilson can’t stop counting his blessings – especially over these past two years. After a short one-year run with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the former free agent has found a fresh start with the New York Giants. And now? He’s wasting no time embracing the city and connecting with its people.
Russell Wilson just signed a one-year deal with the Giants, locking in $10.5 million guaranteed. And guess what? He ‘expects to be a starter.’ Even with Jameis Winston on the roster and the team likely bringing in another QB from the draft, Russell’s confidence hasn’t wavered. He’s fired up.
The Giants’s offseason workouts don’t start for another two weeks. But Russell Wilson? Ah, he’s already making moves by teasing training camp. On Tuesday, he posted a story on Instagram, showing a workout session with new teammates and tight ends Daniel Bellinger and Greg Dulcich. Falcons receiver Jesse Matthews joined in, too. In addition, the primary 5-word caption, “Great work with the boys!! Good start to the week,” revealed all his feelings.

In this new update, Russ looked completely locked in – rocking his Giants workout gear like he’s been there for years. Of course, he’s not trying to fit in. He already feels at home. It’s because just a couple days ago, he posted from MetLife: “Already home,” indicating his Super Bowl XLVIII win in 2013.
Last season, Russell Wilson managed to clinch a playoff berth with the Steelers, only to face a brutal loss. However, he, via StatMuse, still managed to get a passer rating of 95.6 with 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions in 11 games. Not only that! The Ohio native earned his 10th Pro Bowl selection in his 13-year career. All these hints that Wilson still has something left in him, which he will be fulfilling in his new home ground.
On the contrary, Russell Wilson’s news abode is trying to build up their roster by filling in the gaps in the team.

On one hand, Russell Wilson is grooming himself and gelling up with his new teammate and the city. On the other hand, his new NY Giants are waiting to meet a free-agent veteran defensive tackle—DeMarcus Walker.
Yes! DeMarcus Walker’s back on the move. The 30-year-old pass rusher is visiting Russell Wilson’s team, the Giants, this Wednesday. And this isn’t just some random stop – he’s hoping to reconnect with Shane Bowen, the Giants’ defensive coordinator. These two go back to their Titans days in 2022. There’s already that trust, that bond.

Walker’s been a free agent since the Bears cut him loose in February. He was supposed to make over $5 million this year, but Chicago had other plans. Last season, he showed up, starting in all 17 games. Gritty numbers – 47 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 16 hits on the quarterback. Not a headline, but he works. He’s done his rounds, too, in Denver, Houston, and Tennessee, besides Chicago. In total of his 100 career regular-season games, the athlete has recorded 191 career tackles (117 solo) and 26.5 sacks. So, of course, he has a solid resume.
Hence, he’s hunting for that next chance. And maybe – just maybe New York feels like the right kind of second chance for him, as it is the second chance for the QB, Russell Wilson.
