Have you chosen a side yet for the Super Bowl LIX? Will it be the history-making Chiefs or the 3-peat killer Eagles? It’s as evenly poised as it could be. Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and Isiah Pacheco on one side. Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A. J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith on the opposite camp. It’s so tight, and that’s what is making this Super Bowl a thrilling contest.

And then you add the stakes: This game becomes one for the history books. It’s obvious if everyone, and we mean everyone, has a team in the back of their head they want to win. Even the biggest of the biggest NFL superstars will switch on the television for this one. And one Super Bowl-winning quarterback (QB) has even made his way to New Orleans to provide his support. But is he Team Chiefs or Team Eagles?

Russell Wilson is in the house, and it seems like he is with Team red and white. Joining up with Kisha Brown, the mother of Chiefs’ safety, Nazeeh Johnson, both were in a party spirit as New Orleans has been gripped by the Super Bowl fever. Kisha was an absolute mood, reveling in her son’s third back-to-back Super Bowl appearance: “Russell Wilson in the house for the Super Bowl!!❤️🙏🏾”

The Camp Chiefs just got a superstar ally. Even Nazeeh himself will get a mental boost seeing the quarterback who has a career total 37,059 passing yards and 292 TDs, rooting for the 3-peat. Most importantly, Wilson’s decision will give the Chiefdom more heart. The fans will get the extra push, the belief needed to go all out for their team in the Caesars Superdome. And sometimes, the fans can make the little difference needed for such a huge occasion.

It’s all about February 9 if you are a football fan. Even for Russell Wilson, it doesn’t matter his NFL future is in limbo. He probably doesn’t even know the developments happening regarding his next destination.

Complications arising in the availability of Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson backing the Chiefs—will his presence tip the scales in their favor?

Have an interesting take?

Wilson hasn’t been offered any extension by the Steelers. The way his season ended (5 losses on a trot, including a playoff exit at the hands of a wildcard team) has turned the Steelers camp away from me. Enter Raiders and former head coach Pete Carroll with whom Wilson won his only Super Bowl.

In fact, the amount of success he has achieved with Pete made it likely that Wilson will find a home with the Raiders, who are in dire need of a quality QB. But now, another team has thrown their hat in the mix. The Giants are looking at Wilson, just like they had last season. Yes, Wilson did have a meeting with the Giants before signing a 1-year deal with the Steelers.

The Giants need stability. They need a QB with numbers to back him up, who has the leadership abilities to steady the violently rocking ship that is the Giants. Fox Sports reporter Ralph Vacchiano said how Wilson can help the Giants start the rebuild: “Don’t underestimate how important that would be for head coach Brian Daboll and even GM Joe Schoen, both of whom likely need to win in 2025 to hold onto their jobs. Wilson isn’t going to lead New York on a title run, but he could at least help the club be competitive, which right now is a huge step up. It might even be enough to save Daboll and Schoen from being fired and buy them time to find a younger quarterback to start building around.”

The crux of the news is – Raiders have to make their move. Make a decision fast if Russell Wilson is key to their plans.
