It started like any good two-minute drill—quick, calculated, and completely on brand for Russell Wilson. One minute he’s in the comments of Ciara’s Instagram post, dropping playful hints; the next, he’s invoking divine timing and viral dance trends to push his latest mission. But this time, the end zone isn’t MetLife Stadium—it’s baby number five. With four kids already anchoring their all-star household, Russ is running a full-court press to expand the roster. And just like on Sundays, he’s not shy about calling audibles. The only problem? Mama CiCi’s got other plays to run first—and none of them involve maternity jeans.

With four kids already lighting up their world—Future, Sienna, Win, and Amora—Wilson’s playbook now includes cheeky social media hints and dad-joke-level persistence. The latest episode of this persuasion game took place Monday night when a fan Shay Shantè posted a video collage featuring various snippets of Ciara with the kids. Shay’s caption read, “I can’t wait to share moments like this 🥺❤️.” Russ was quick to notice.

He shared the video with a cheeky caption, “🖤🖤🖤 God is good! I can’t wait for the Grace of God to bless us with another… As soon as Momma CiCi @Ciara get off that #Ecstasy #DefyGravityChairChallenge 😂🤣😍🙏🏾💃🏽.” But Ciara, the multitasking music icon, isn’t ready to spike the ball just yet. The previous episode to the drama unfolded on March 27, when Ciara posted a sizzling promo for her new single Ecstasy.

Wilson pounced in the comments: “I know what you want… 5.” It was the second-to-last volley (thus far) in his “Baby Cinco” campaign, a saga blending NFL-level strategy with the chaos of raising Russell Wilson’s children. From diaper changes to touchdown dances, this family’s playbook is anything but ordinary. Wilson’s push for a fifth child isn’t subtle. In January 2025, he joked about wallpaper colors for Cinco’s nursery during a podcast with Ciara.

She laughed it off, telling Jennifer Hudson: “I want to grind a little bit. I want to drop it like it’s hot a couple of times. When I’m trying to drop it like it’s hot with a belly, I can’t get up. I gotta take my time a little bit. Mama gotta love on herself a little bit.” The stats back her up: since 2016, they’ve juggled Ciara’s music tours, Wilson’s NFL moves (Seattle, Denver, Pittsburgh, now New York), and four kids under 11. “Every day is nonstop, but it’s chaotic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Ciara told Parents magazine.

The couple’s New York shift adds another layer. Ciara’s Instagram post of Wilson in Yankees gear—“New York State of Mind!”—signaled a fresh chapter. But between MetLife Stadium rehearsals and Ciara’s Out of This World Tour, baby No. 5 feels like a Hail Mary. However, Ciara’s no stranger to fourth-quarter comebacks. After Amora’s birth in December 2023, she posted about shedding 70 pounds while breastfeeding and prepping a tour.

“Shout out to all my mammas out there gettin’ in,” she wrote. Her secret? “If we can be consistent and persistent, and always put a touch of love in there, it all works itself out,” as she shared on Coach Conversations in 2021. But Wilson’s charm offensive is hard to resist. Ciara hasn’t ruled it out. “I do, yeah, I do. You know, in a little bit of time,” she admitted to Jenna Bush Hager in January 2025.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Ciara's career too hot to handle another baby, or will Russell's persistence pay off?

The Wilson kids: A team of their own

Future Zahir, 10: The “anointed” big brother, Future balances piano lessons and football drills with Russell Wilson. “You are a Leader, Compassionate to others, an amazing big brother, and an amazing son. But most importantly you are a Child of God,” Wilson wrote in his post in 2023 on Future’s 9th birthday.

Sienna, 7: A mini-Ciara with a lioness’s spirit, Sienna belts tunes and dominates gymnastics. She’s “fearless and a bit rough, like Mommy, but has a bit of a softer touch,” Ciara told PEOPLE.

Win, 4: A tornado of energy, Win inherited Wilson’s hyperactivity. “You light up every room with your joy and love for life. Keep shining!! Your name embodies triumph over every obstacle. You can do all things through Christ!!! You are blessed, anointed, and we love you to heaven & back! ❤️🏅,’” Wilson wrote on Instagram for his birthday.

Amora, 1: The baby princess, born in 2023, has her siblings wrapped around her finger. “Anybody who has multiple kids knows the love-fight relationship is real. But with Amora, she can have the world. They’re the best helpers with her,” Ciara told E! News.

For Wilson, family is his ultimate trophy. “Every day I come home from work and it’s late at night, it’s after film and practice and all that, and me and Ciara are together,” he told GQ“We just smile from ear-to-ear in the kitchen because we realize that our family is a beautiful blended family but it’s also, you know, our family. It’s us.” But Ciara’s balancing act—70-pound weight loss, tours, four kids—is like prepping for the Super Bowl daily.

As the Wilsons settle into New York, the “Cinco” debate lingers. Will Russell Wilson’s persistence pay off? For now, their blended family—Future’s wisdom, Sienna’s fire, Win’s energy, and Amora’s giggles—is enough. In the words of Field of Dreams“If you build it, he will come.” But for Ciara, it’s more like: “If you wait, maybe he’ll stop asking.”
