Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t had to deal with the question of QB 1 until now because Russell Wilson has been seated due to his injury. However, there is immense progress regarding his health and we may hear from the team soon.
Although the NFL star is still not completely fine, new reports suggest that Wilson will be ready to call the offense plays on the field soon. Unfortunately, there is still some fog surrounding this decision.
Despite ‘nearing full health,’ as reported by The Insiders, Wilson’s designation in the team hasn’t changed. He is named as the third or emergency quarterback.

Even though he is expected to be fully healthy by next week, Wilson’s status might stay the same against the Cowboys. “Russell Wilson [is] nearing full health as close to full health as he has been. In fact, if it was a playoff game [or] if it was a Super Bowl, he would for sure be playing,” said the co-host. “[If we] have to name a starter, and that is expected, of course, Justin Fields.”

Meanwhile, Justin Fields appears to be the number 1 pick for the starting QB for the game during both the 4th and the 5th week. This may seem unfair to you if you were really looking forward to seeing Wilson on the field.
Even last week, Mike Tomlin was hesitant on naming whether it will be Fields or Russell Wilson who opens the coming game of Steelers vs. the Colts.
Seeing Justin Fields’ play so far, it has been easier for fans to accept his leadership on the offensive team. Does this mean that his former team is punching air right now?

Back when he was in the Chicago Bears, Fields still had all the talent, but he still couldn’t refine it just as well. His fate had him tied up with the Steelers. This is when he made all the improvement and shone through when Wilson got injured.
If you are a Steelers fan, it must not be difficult for you to see him in charge because of the score so far. But do the Bears regret losing him?
“Keeping Justin Fields around would have only invited the level of controversy that comes with the position,” claimed Mike Golic Jr during a recent episode of Gojo and Golic.

He claimed that the Wilson-Fields competition for the QB 1 position would be hanging atop the Bears if Fields hadn’t left the team. This means that despite seeing Fields crushing it on the gridiron, the management might still be satisfied with its decision.
Justin surely deserves the position that he is in, but do you think it’s about time that Russell Wilson comes back as QB 1?
