Russell Wilson might be one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks. However, it looks like the athlete is an even better father. Apart from having three of his own with his wife, Ciara, the 35-year-old also wound up adopting her first son, Future, from the singer’s last relationship with the rapper of the same name. Now, as the child celebrated his 10th birthday, the Steelers star showered his stepson with some fatherly love.

A few hours ago, Wilson took to his social media to share a special birthday wish for his son, Future. The father of four shared a video montage set to the Toff Galberth song, ‘New Wine.’ The video featured pictures and clips of the 35-year-old and his stepson. From fancy events to courtside at basketball games, it showed the world a glimpse of the loving relationship between the two.

Apart from the family pictures, Wilson also tugged at everyone’s heartstrings with his caption too. The father of four wrote, “Happy Bday Future! The big 10!! We are so proud of you & grateful for you. You are our biggest blessing. An amazing son! The best big brother!! An absolute baller! So kind and loving! Keep shining. Keep loving.” He also ended up adding, “It is our greatest joy watching you grow into the young man God created you to be! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years!”

Although Wilson seems to have embraced his role as Future’s father with a passion over the last decade, the quarterback once revealed that it was not as easy as he made it look. In fact, the 35-year-old had even asked God to help him figure out what to do. Luckily, it all seems to have worked out for the Pittsburgh Steelers star and his blended family. While the birthday boy’s big day came up on a Sunday, the quarterback and Ciara gave him his gift a little in advance.

A couple of days ahead of Future’s 10th birthday, Russell Wilson and Ciara gave their son the only gift he wanted; the chance to attend a Celtics game. The trio made their way to TD Garden where they watched the Cavaliers beat the Celtics on Wednesday night. Although things seemed to be going well initially, it took a turn that gave Cleaveland the upper hand. The night ended with a defeat for the Celtics and a score of 113-98.

However, it was still a night to remember for the 10-year-old. After all, not only did his wish come true, but things were taken to a whole new level when the child got to leave the game with an autographed pair of shoes. The special gesture might have been the highlight of his evening. However, social media ended up being taken away by the oversized pair of shoes that he had on.

With Wilson and Ciara having gone above and beyond for Future’s 10th birthday, the couple might have to take things up a notch with next year’s celebrations. However, there is no doubt that the 35-year-old and his wife will make it happen for their son.
