Everyone started doubting Mike Tomlin‘s leadership after the Steelers lost to the Browns in Week 12. But after their win over the Bengals, he’s made one thing clear. He’s not going anywhere and is still running the show. Tomlin knows how to lead his team, and the Steelers’ performance this season says it all. He gets what each player brings to the table and knows how, when, and where to use them to secure wins. Take, for example, RB Cordarrelle Patterson‘s performance recently. And now, after the Steelers’ big win over the Bengals, QB Russell Wilson might have a few thoughts to share with Coach Tomlin. Spoiler alert: it’s not just about the RB but also about DK Metcalf!
RB Patterson has been a huge part of the Steelers’ success. Thanks to him being an all-rounder. Then why’s Mike been looking to bring the Seahawks‘ WR on board? Although it’s just a rumor, the NFL is unpredictable. One day it’s all talk, the next it’s reality. But the Steelers QB’s has Patterson’s back. Russell Wilson heard the whispers in Rumor Town and had the perfect response. He didn’t shy away from reminding the Steelers’ RB that he’s someone who plays Wide Receiver, Running Back, and Kickoff Returner. And he’s amazing at it. In a way, sending a serious message to Mike, the QB, after the win over the Bengals, told Patterson, “Who said you can’t play receiver?”

Whether it was a jab at Tomlin or not, the message was quite clear!
Cordarrelle Patterson took over as the RB, with Jaylen Warren out because of an injury. The Steelers beat the Bengals 44-38, and now they have nine wins, with five more games remaining. They’ve got a solid spot among the top teams in the AFC division. Jaylen Warren has been dealing with a back injury since Week 11. Since then, he’s missed three games, with Najee Harris stepping in to take his place.
It looks like, after Warren’s injury, Cordarrelle Patterson has been looking for options to add to the team’s offense. You’ve got to appreciate the commitment. And that’s where the buzz comes up about the HC looking to bring a certain Patterson recruit to the Steelers squad.

Patterson has his eyes on Russell Wilson’s ex-teammate
Earlier this year, Cordarrelle Patterson signed a two-year deal with the Steelers after playing two seasons with the Falcons. Although, he has been mostly playing as the RB3, backing up Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. But aside from shining on the field, the guy’s got some great recruitment skills, too. After speculations of Mike Tomlin wanting to add DK Metcalf to the Steelers’ WR lineup, the RB hit up the Seahawks WR himself with a message on X. “What you up 2 bruh? @dkm14. Just checking on you.!!!”

Patterson earlier was pushing the Steelers’ management to acquire Davante Adams before he ended up with the Giants. Now, he has his eyes on Seahawks’ WR Metcalf.
“Let’s give GM to Cordarrelle when he retires”, commented a user on X. It doesn’t look like the Seahawks would give up on their star WR, though. “BRO GET OUT OF HERE, SEAHAWKS KEEPING THE MAN”, a user replied to Patterson’s post. Metcalf played with the veteran QB Russell Wilson when he was with the Seahawks. With their trade options open, it’ll be interesting to see how the Steelers play it.
