The Steelers were on an undefeated run under Russell Wilson. The veteran arrived at the Eagles home stadium with hopes of crushing them. But the matchup turned otherwise. They lost 13-27. It was unexpected. And, disappointment with the result was all over his face.

During the post-game conference, Mr. Unlimited criticized his offense, praised the opposition, and said, “They played way better than us tonight. It was unacceptable how we played. I think we feel like we’ve got to be sharper, you know. And so we just got to stay the course and know that obviously we got a big week coming up. We got to respond, we got to get ready to go, and that’s where our focus has to be.

The Eagles trounced the visitors. While visitors only had 30% third down efficiency in 3 of 10 attempts, the home team had almost double, 58.8%, in 10 of 17 attempts. The Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts was better in the quarterbacks too. While Russell Wilson only had 14 of 22 passes (63% completion rate) in 128 passing yards with one TD, Hurts had 25 of 32 passes (78% completion rate) in 290 yards with 2 TDs.

The veteran also revealed the pressing area to work on and said, “We got to be successful in first and second down to get positive plays.” That’s right. The Eagles recorded 26 first downs while the Steelers only had 10 first downs. Even in the yards, the Eagles had 131 rushing yards and 270 passing yards, totaling 401. But the Steelers only had 56 rushing yards and 107 passing yards, a total of 163 yards.

Not only the outcome, the franchise has to look at the injured players. HC Mike Tomlin revealed it during the post-game conference, and it’s an urgent matter.

At the 4:50 mark, OLB T.J. Watt got injured and didn’t return. Tomlin talked about it in the post-game conference and said, “TJ had an ankle. I think it that can be described as a low ankle at this juncture.” Russell Wilson would also be keen to look into the players’ health status.
