While most of the expected names made it on the list, there are a few shocking misses from the side. Russell Wilson, the QB of the Denver Broncos, also brought forth one such name that he thought should have made it onto the All-Pro team.

Everybody knows how Wilson stands up for his team members, no matter if he is “benched” or not. This time again, the quarterback backed his teammate Patrick Surtain II. According to the list of All-Pro, Christian McCaffrey, Tyreek Hill, and Fred Warner are the main preferences for this season. However, it seems Russell Wilson has a different choice than these. The Denver Broncos’ QB recently posted his thoughts on Twitter. He backed up Pat Surtain II as his choice for the All-Pro team’s cornerback. Wilson tweeted, “No better corner than @PatSurtainll #2 #AllPro.

CB Surtain II has combined 69 tackles and 53 solo tackles to his name this season. Furthermore, he has 10 assisted tackles, and 1 interception to show for the 2023 season with the team. Hence potentially why Wilson brought forth the cornerback’s name for the prestigious list. The reason for him not being on the list is reported as the Broncos were unable to secure a playoff berth, thus his efforts did not lead to positive results, arguably.

While the discussion continues to swarm whether Surtain II should have been a part of the list, the CB at least has the backing of his experienced team member. Meanwhile, some other key players missed out on being a unanimous choice.
