Remember back in 2023 when Russell Wilson accidentally flipped his golf cart into a bunker at Arrowhead Golf Course? Thankfully, no one, including Wilson, was hurt. But what’s even better is that the New York Giants quarterback hasn’t let that scare him away from the game. This time, he’s back making headlines for a much more exciting reason, announcing a brand-new milestone for the sport.

Russell Wilson has been very active since the day he joined the Giants. He signed a one-year, $10.5 million contract that can be worth up to $21 million with added incentives. But even with all the football buzz, Mr. Unlimited isn’t forgetting to show love to other sports, too. For instance, not long ago, he and Ciara were spotted courtside at a basketball game in New York. Now, Wilson’s stepping into the golf world.

On Thursday, he dropped some big news. Wilson teamed up with Culture Kicks to launch his new golf shoes during the Masters Tournament. In a promo video, Wilson showed off his “Augusta” shoes and invited fans and golfers to check them out. He’s hoping they’ll shell out $258 for a pair, either the Prospect Spikeless or the Legend London style.

For a little perspective, even FootJoy, one of golf’s top brands, doesn’t price its shoes that high. Wilson’s kicks are part of his Good Man Brand, which he built back in 2016 with Ciara and Christine Day, the former Lululemon CEO. It’s all under their big project, The House of LR&C, standing for Love, Respect, and Care, with a mission for sustainable fashion. No one’s quite sure how much money the brand’s pulling in, but as per reports, they’ve raised about $35 million in funding so far.

And now, with Rory Mcllroy winning the tournament, Wilson’s shoes are getting a lot more buzz. Though let’s be clear – Mcllroy wasn’t actually rocking Wilson’s shoes out there!

What shoes did the winner, Rory Mcllroy, wear if not Russell Wilson’s?

Rory Mcllroy finally lived the dream he’s chased since he was a kid from Holywood, Northern Ireland. On Sunday, at 35 years old, he won the 2025 Masters at Augusta, slipping on that legendary green jacket and sealing his career Grand Slam. It was pure emotion, overwhelming, raw, and unforgettable. After 11 long years without a major, he made history, becoming the first golfer since Tiger Woods in 2000 to complete the slam.

On Monday, Mcllroy kept it simple, dropping his first post “Dreams do come true,” since that wild playoff win. Now, the next stop is the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, a place he’s dominated before. When he fell to his knees at Augusta, you just knew this was bigger than golf. It was history in real time, and fittingly, he did it rocking his Nike Victory Tour 4s, standing tall, green jacket and all. And guess what? His Nike Victory Tour 4s shoes are almost out of stock.

Russell Wilson is hoping to catch that same kind of magic with his Good Man Brand golf shoes. His love for golf isn’t anything new. Through his Why Not You Foundation, he’s been hosting the Wilson Celebrity Invitational for years, helping raise money for Children’s Hospital, like many times he did for Seattle during his Seahawks days. So when it comes to golf, Wilson’s all in. He never misses a chance to show up, show love, and connect with his people.
