The Los Angeles Rams‘ decision to put WR Cooper Kupp on the trade block has sent the NFL world into a frenzy. But Cooper might have seen it coming. It might not have come to this if the Rams hadn’t been knocked out by the Eagles in the Divisional Round. But sadly, that’s the reality. Kupp isn’t exactly happy with the situation. But hey, welcome to the business side of football. Now that Cooper is on the trade block, teams are scrambling and fans are speculating. And some players are already dreaming about what it’d be like to have him in their locker room.
And two of the Bears‘ players are cooking up some interesting conversations. Enter WRs Rome Odunze and DJ Moore, who are all team Cooper. Rome and Moore recently sat down with Kay Adams on her show – you know, your favorite host. Kay tossed an interesting question their way, asking the Bears’ wideouts which player they’d love to see in a Bears jersey. And DJ said, “I’m going to go Cooper. He does it all in the slot. He’s good. Maneuver. It’s like the game is slow for him.”

Rome quickly chimed in, saying, “I’d love to have Coop, too. He’s awesome. He’s got ties with my Junior Adams, the wide receiver coach at UW for a time. So that’d be cool to see him with us.” Woah! Looks like Cooper Kupp has quite the fan following, eh?
Before the Bears’ receivers settled on the Rams’ WR, host Kay Adams tossed them another juicy option: Bengals star WR Ja’Marr Chase. The LSU alum is also in the middle of looking for a ‘fair’ contract deal. But Rome and Moore didn’t hold back when sharing what could stand between the Bears and Ja’Marr. “Shoot, they’re going to have to bring in a Brinks truck to pay him though,” Odunze said. So, Ben Johnson might want to take some serious notes here. Because his players are asking for what Tyreek Hill would famously say, “Add dawgs to the roster.”
So, where will Cooper Kupp land next?
What’s next for Cooper Kupp?
The former Super Bowl champ and MVP, Cooper Kupp, has to find a new home now. After spending eight years with the Los Angeles Rams, the team has turned its back on him. But the Rams closing the door on him has given other teams a great opportunity. Enter the Pittsburgh Steelers, who look like a great option. The Steelers are likely focused on strengthening their struggling O-line. And Cooper could be the game-changer for them.
And here’s where it gets wild: what if the Rams part ways with QB Matthew Stafford, too? If Pittsburgh swoops in and grabs both Kupp and Stafford, we could see an epic reunion in the Steel Nation. Cooper Kupp landed an $80 million deal in 2022 and wasn’t supposed to hit free agency until 2027. But with the Rams trading him, he’s now carrying a $29.7 million cap hit, plus $22.2 million in dead cap money, per Spotrac.

The Rams haven’t said a word about the details of Kupp’s trade, keeping everyone in the dark. But that hasn’t slowed down the rumor mill. A bunch of teams are being thrown around as possible landing spots. The Patriots could be an interesting fit as they try to rebuild their offense. And the Ravens might take a look too. For now, though, it’s all just speculation. There’s no official word from anyone, not even the slightest hint about what the future holds for the soon-to-be ex-Rams WR.
