Love is in the air! It’s been an emotionally challenging week for Travis Kelce, winning the Super Bowl and celebrating in Vegas, and later coping with the tragedy that followed the Kansas City Chiefs‘ victory parade. But with it being the month of February, the Chiefs’ quarterback is also expressing his love for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, on Valentine’s Day from across the globe in the most romantic and thoughtful way.

While Swift was in Australia as a part of her Eras concert, she got a cute surprise in the form of lavish and meaningful gifts from Kelce. The QB didn’t leave any stone unturned in making the day special for his girlfriend, sending her an array of expensive presents.

Kelce is well aware of Swift’s love of flowers and isn’t shy of showering her with a floral delight. According to The Sun, Swift received an Eternity rose arrangement with 250 flowers “set in a monumental round Parisian-inspired Hat Box.” Eternity roses are described as those that never wilt, lasting up to a year with minimal maintenance. After sending her two sets of the elaborate arrangement, within 6 hours, each costing over £1,700, Kelce sent one final floral gift to Swift. He sent a £2,460 worth, handmade crystal rose sculpture complete with a 24-karat gold stem. Designed by the luxury design company Perigold, the product is meant to symbolize “a message of infinite love.”

In a nod to the singers’ upcoming concerts in Paris, Kelce gifted her a Dior beret, priced at almost £800, and a Bottega Veneta bag, worth over £4,000. The black lambskin beret is from Dior and is made in ” a modern and sophisticated style.” As if all this wasn’t enough, Swift also has a Hermes shawl to complete her Parisian look.

According to the Sun’s source, “He [Kelce] wanted to show her how much he cares about her and the upcoming months to come as they will travel together all over the world,” and it would be safe to say that he succeeded. The couple’s romance is taking over football fans and Swifties alike. Especially after Swift’s constant support for Kelce during the Super Bowl gained everyone’s attention.

The “Taylor Swift Effect”

When the news of the Chiefs tight end dating the pop singer went viral, it was like two worlds colliding. Some NFL fans were also quick to assume that due to the extra attention being focused on their relationship, Swift would “ruin football.”

However, as  Swift started attending Kelce’s games and her bond with the Chiefs star and his family started showing, a new effect was visible: the “Taylor Swift Effect.” As named by the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, the mere presence of the pop star during the matches has greatly impacted the game’s viewership. NFL has seen an unprecedented rise in female viewership, a record 47.5% in this Super Bowl, according to the New York Post.

As the NFL welcomes a batch of new fan demographic, young Swiftie girls, the Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt has also expressed his appreciation of this phenomenon. He expressed that it was great to have families watching the Super Bowl now as a result of the young Swiftie fans who are curious about their favorite singer’s interest in the game. Hunt said in a talk with Fox News Digital, “We’re so happy for the two of them, and as a result, we do have a whole bunch of new fans, and that’s been fantastic. Not only here in North America, but really across the globe.”
