As a future Hall of Famer, getting sacked 5 times is not ‘Okay’. And it was the best of nights for Aaron Rodgers as a Gang Green member. Sure, Robert Saleh noted that out in the post-game presser calling it an issue of ‘cadence’. But you’d be naïve to think that Rodgers would take any criticism from Saleh about how to call a snap. And he made it pretty evident, showcasing a tinge of annoyance over his HC’s remarks.
“That’s one way to do it. The other way is to hold them accountable.” This was Rodgers’ response to Saleh saying, “Whether or not we’re good enough or ready to handle all of the cadence.”
That’s what a loss after two straight wins brings out of you. The Jets thought they took off, but the Broncos highlighted a minor fault in their system.

And it was enough for Saleh and Rodgers to go off. It’s like a season of ‘Tom and Jerry’ when you hear them. You can determine who’s who. But they are both picking on each other right now. It’s always a headline when Saleh and Rodgers throw jabs at each other—whether on or off the field. Their dynamic is pure entertainment for the fans and the media. Remember week 3’s 24-3 win over the Patriots? Saleh tried to hug Rodgers, and the QB hilariously pushed him back, keeping some space. Classic!
But relax, Gang, they did agree to some extent now. Phew! Saleh said, “Cadence had not been an issue all camp,” and Rodgers backed it up with, “I mean, we haven’t had an issue.” So, what went wrong?

Aaron Rodgers struggles: Jets’ self-inflicted wounds
Well, it was a tough day for the Jets, wasn’t it? The scoreboard reflected it—no touchdowns, just three Greg Zuerlein field goals to show for it. And as for the Aaron Rodgers Show? There wasn’t any against the Broncos. He completed just 57% of his passes for 225 yards and, to top it off got sacked five times.
‘Ouch!’
You can blame the weather, but that would worsen his case en route to Canton. So, we will leave it at that. But hold on, it wasn’t just the weather.

Self-inflicted wounds were a big part of the offensive woes. Five false start penalties? That’s like shooting yourself in the foot during a big play! Breece Hall and left guard John Simpson had two similar blunders, while Tyron Smith added another to the tally.

Talk about a rough outing! Aaron Rodgers pointed out that false starts hadn’t been a problem in their last three games. So, why the sudden slip-up? Saleh’s postgame presser was all about addressing these questions. If the Jets can avoid false starts moving forward, the concerns over Rodgers’ cadence might just fade into the background.
But if the penalties keep piling up, expect some serious frustration from A-Rod on the field. It’s a critical moment—will this be a blip on the radar, or should fans be on high alert? Keep your eyes peeled; the decisions ahead could affect the Jets’ hopes for a playoff season.
