Is Robert Saleh the right man for the Jets, or is it time for a coaching change?

Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the Green Gang were humbled against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday. Since then, this defeat has been the talk of the hour. The football world has been taking shots at everyone they think can be held responsible, and the Head Coach has also been caught in the crossfire now.

As the head coach, Robert Saleh is bound to invite criticism when the New York Jets take a beating on the field because he will also be praised when they have won a match. For now, the circumstances are not in his favor, and Stephen A. Smith took this opportunity to call him out.

On the show First Take, host Stephen A. Smith thought it best to call out Robert Saleh for the Jets’ failed season opener. While Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback, playing an integral role on the field, he thinks that the team’s inability to defend can also be freely blamed on Saleh.

Robert Saleh is on the clock. I mean, I think his job should be in jeopardy. I’m not saying this after one game,” said Smith, presenting some stats for the others present on the panel. Rodgers gets slammed on a podcast

There were some events leading up to the infamous Jets vs. 49ers match that you absolutely had to pay attention to. First, Rodergs ditched the minicamp. Then, he also sat out of the entire preseason. While the reason isn’t perfectly clear, it seems that his inactivity has finally caught up to him. The 40-year-old was called out on a recent podcast by Mase and Cam’ron. The co-hosts criticized Rodgers for not taking part in any games and skipping training before the season began because this is probably what resulted in him appearing less agile on the field.

Since Aaron Rodgers serves an integral role on the offensive team as the quarterback, his lack of mobility cost the Jets several points that they could have scored. At last, it is not really about losing that match because there is nothing wrong with starting slow. However, the humiliating loss suggests that the team may need to work quickly and pick up some slack before it is too late. The responsibility doesn’t come down to only one or two people on the team, but a few members need to take charge, given their role on the roster.
