Rob Gronkowski Backs Retirement Threatened Travis Kelce Amid Taylor Swift’s ‘Binomial Distraction Theory’

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are headed to play against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium very soon. The former Patriots star Rob Gronkowski days before the clash was seen commenting on the next opponents of his old team, particularly the TE. It was recently discovered that Gronkowski has a lot of respect for Kelce and what he’s done to put the tight end position on the map for everyone to see.

The Gronk appeared in a Forbes interview and talked a bit about Kelce and his performance. There is an argument going around the NFL world that Taylor Swift has caused a bit of a distraction in Kelce’s life, but Gronk seems to think otherwise. A tweet from MLFootball summarized Gronk’s thoughts perfectly and assured the fans that things are in their natural order when it comes to the Chiefs TE.

Gronkowski mentioned in his interview with Forbes that he doesn’t see a drop in his performance and sees him as the same player he has been since the last decade. When asked to elaborate on Kelce’s dropping performance, the former TE said, “Sometimes numbers will drop because it’s a team game.”

He further elaborated, “He doesn’t really have that much help from the wide receiver position, but when you do see the ball in his hands, he looks like the same player he has been the last decade. The guy’s moving, he’s getting open, he’s making plays, he’s making defenders miss, he’s shaking off defenders to get open at the top off the routes. So (I) don’t really a see a drop-off at all.”

The tweet surfacing addressed the same line of thought, mentioning how Gronkowski has shut down all perspectives of girlfriend Taylor Swift having caused a change in Kelce’s professional commitments. Seems like the fellow TE does not believe the changes in Kelce’s life to be a cause of any concerns for his career, despite the retirement rumors and speculations coming forth from the NFL world.

Going by numbers, it should be noted that Kelce is the fastest TE in the league to reach 11k yards, displaying his constant dominance on the field. And as an individual player, his numbers speak much in favor of his progress.

Secondly, Kelce’s priorities in life might change soon because his contract with the Chiefs expires in 2 years. People suspect that he might seem to look at the bigger picture now with the rumor of Kelce and Swift getting engaged by Christmas surrounding the internet. These rumors have connected to another process of thinking, making fans believe that the TE might announce taking a step back from the gridiron soon.

Kelce is a veteran, and this is his 10 season with the Chiefs. It’s been a long journey and per his comments in a recent interview, speculations of his retirement might not be as far fetched as one would like to believe here.
