Is Jerry Jones overstepping by questioning Jamie Foxx's video, or is he spot on?

The Cowboys owner may be an 81-year-old billionaire, but it doesn’t mean he has no humor left in him. Still handling the day-to-day chores in Dallas, Jones might have found himself tangled in a controversy for his comments. Watching the Cowboys practice last week, Jones had Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx in attendance.

While the American actor had his Instagram live going, the Cowboys GM may have uttered a few words that were seemingly NSFW. As Jones was caught speaking, “He looked pretty good right there. He showed balance, 5-foot-9 and a half, 210 pounds. 4.41 seconds 40-yard dash time. Nine and 3-inch hands.” Although it looked like the Cowboys owner was rambling out the NFL, combine stats of an unnamed player.

The conversation suddenly went off road as Jones added, “Eight and a half inch d—.” This prompted Foxx to quickly end his stream with the clip no longer available on the actor’s page. Reacting to that controversial video on the “It Is What It Is” podcast was legendary WR Michael Irvin, who said, “You don’t even know what’s real these days. I have never ever had any conversation about another man’s size in any manner in no way, and I don’t even know we should be touching it.”

Although there have been reports that the video could be ‘AI’ generated, Jones has since questioned the legitimacy of the Jamie Foxx video. Offering his thoughts on 105.3 The Fan, the Cowboys owner, added, “He’s a great friend. We have had a lot of experience watching players, talking about players, talking about games. It’s just kind of ironic, I think, when that was supposed to have happened a few years back. But I don’t recall it.”

Even though Jones doesn’t remember putting out those comments, the fans did have a field day with their reactions on social media. Some wrote, “Ironic that Jerry was saying that right in front of Django.” While others added, “Now, whyyyyy does he know that?!” Although those comments may have been sarcastic, the Cowboys owner did find himself at the center of media attention after Derrick Henry’s comments when the Cowboys lost their second consecutive match in Dallas.

Jerry Jones takes on Derrick Henry after the Ravens’ loss

Derrick Henry had a sensational night on Sunday in Dallas after the Ravens RB finished with two touchdowns and 151 rushing yards. His contributions helped Baltimore record their first win of the season coming into Dallas. While Henry tore apart the Cowboys’ defense, Jerry Jones made an interesting comment after the game, “We couldn’t afford Derrick Henry. Why can’t you buy a mansion when you live in a different kind of house? We couldn’t afford it. We can’t make that all fit. That’s as simple as that.”

As Jones spoke about Henry, he also pointed out the flaws of the Cowboys in their running back department, “I wouldn’t direct the running game and lack thereof or where we’ve been over the last three games to anyone running back at all, because it takes some offensive linemen to blow them out of there.” Coming into the regular season, Jones had lost Tony Pollard while having Rico Dowdle, Ezekiel Elliot and Deuce Vaugh in that space.

However, they have since struggled, as they are currently 25th in rushing while adding just 51 yards last Sunday. As the Cowboys search for their second win of the season, they are certainly lacking in multiple departments. But will they be able to stage a comeback while their hopes of making it to the playoffs grow thinner?
