You would have to go in January 2023, when Ricky Pearsall and his girlfriend Tori Moraga dropped a major announcement about their personal life. Moraga wrote on her Instagram post, “Happy 1/23,” as the couple publicly acknowledged their relationship for the first time. To make the moment even more special, the college sweethearts were even captured twinning in all-black outfits. Their arms wrapped around one another as Pearsall also dropped a comment on their first post together, “Us>>>>>>.” Well, the post has since been deleted, but Pearsall and Moraga have continued to thrive in their relationship. However, April 18th was a sad day for Moraga. The 49ers WR’s girlfriend found herself stuck remembering a deceased member of her family, whom she probably loved more than anyone.

Moraga is known for occasionally posting throwback pictures. Just recently, she wished Pearsall on his 24th birthday with adorable words of love and pictures from their past. Those showcased some of the best times they spent together as a couple. But yesterday wasn’t a happy throwback day for Moraga. She was captured grieving, remembering the first death anniversary of her grandma. Among the series of stories she shared, her first post portrayed a small chat with her grandma.

Although the conversation was in Spanish, Moraga’s grandma’s message in English read, “My beautiful, dear granddaughter, I love you.” To this, Moraga simply replied, “Te Amo lala,” meaning “I love you Lala.” While sharing that little conversation she had with her grandma, Moraga also wrote on a text overlay, “1 year without you. I feel you with me every day.” Even though Moraga’s grandma has left her, she still finds joy in those beautiful moments they shared. Like this heartwarming chat and also a couple of throwback snaps she later shared.

In her next story, a baby Moraga was soundly asleep in her grandma’s arms as she posed with her. Then there was another instance of them sharing a warm embrace as Moraga wrote, “My beautiful old lady.” That wasn’t all. In her final tribute to grandma, Moraga shared a pic of her in the hospital bed. Their Moraga’s grandma had a huge smile on her face as they took a selfie.

Besides all the memories Moraga shared, there isn’t much information available about their bond. Those pictures are enough for us to say they loved each other more than anyone else. As Moraga blends grief and joyful memories, remembering her grandma, her boyfriend returned to his old habits.

Can Ricky Pearsall's grit and determination make him the 49ers' next big star?

Have an interesting take?

Ricky Pearsall gears up for a probable breakout year in the Bay Area

Pearsall was picked by the 49ers as their 31st overall last year. He was coming into a receiver room that already had two consistent starters, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. So, it was widely expected that Pearsall would take some time to break into the 49ers’ offense. However, since getting shot in the chest and recovering, Pearsall came back to have a strong rookie year. He may have only appeared for 11 games, starting just 4, but still he caught 31 passes for 400 receiving yards and 3 TDs. Now with Samuel out of the door and Aiyuk injured, Pearsall has a clear route to be the 49ers’ WR1 this year.

So, on Friday, he was caught doing what was expected of him. Train as hard as possible to win the starting job in his sophomore year. Pearsall was captured doing conditional training in the gym and on the field. He also shared a message on his Instagram that read, “Every scar you carry proves you build different. Keep walking in purpose fam.”
