The NFL just had one of its most iconic figures exit from the league, but Jason Kelce’s impact is far from over. In a surprising twist, the recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center is using his clout to champion an unexpected cause – supporting a teacher’s quest to be crowned “America’s Favorite Teacher.”

Kelce took to social media, urging fans to vote for Kimberly Stowman, a dedicated educator vying for a $25,000 prize and a dream trip to Hawaii. “I’ve seen enough,” Kelce declared, “the outpouring of support, and highly photogenic nature of this woman, has me convinced she is truly America’s favorite teacher.”

A Super Bowl victor, seven Pro Bowl selections, six All-Pro honors – Jason Kelce’s credentials shine brightly. Yet, beyond the gridiron glory, his fervent support for educators resonates deeply with those acquainted with his personal journey.

A profound bond with educators has been a constant for Kelce, tracing back to his formative years at Cleveland Heights High. In an installment of his “New Heights” podcast last year, he reminisced fondly about ditching class for “nature study walks” alongside his cherished teacher, Mr. Thaxton. Remarkably, this educator even consumed insects before his captivated students, cementing a unique and memorable connection.
