The Raiders have come across another hurdle this season. Their defensive end, Maxx Crosby, seems to be at the center of a tremendous storm. The star hasn’t ever missed a game in his 5-year career, but he was doubtful before their match against the Chiefs due to a knee injury. However, the DE still played despite non-optimal conditions. Now, his decision to play has escalated his injury.

Crosby faced a swollen knee due to fluid buildup, and things got worse when the fluid teamed up with bacteria. This resulted in an alarming condition. Even though the infection was removed, the potential long-term effects are concerning. So much so that it might be a threat to limb and life.

Now, the Raiders have been discussing shutting down Crosby for the rest of the season. It’s not just a strategic move, but also a reminder that sports have a fine line between bravery and recklessness. Some might question the severity of the injury, but the injured himself revealed how he feels about his injury.
