A quarterback greater than 2x Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes and the NFL’s highest-paid player Joe Burrow? That’s what Michigan Wolverines head coach, Jim Harbaugh, seems to have unearthed, which no one else seems to agree with. The player in question plays for the Los Angeles Chargers. After their recent 6-0 victory against the New England Patriots, the Chargers are “charged” up, but how much of a role did Herbert have to play in that game?

With a 5-7 record going into Week 13, it seems like they might need a change of guard from HC Brandon Staley. And if they decide to part ways with him, who could be called in to replace him?

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, guest Mike Greenberg said that he had been speaking to the 59-year-old Jim Harbaugh, and he revealed something that is sure to bewilder football fans. He thinks he has found a better QB than Mahomes and Burrow. “All these great quarterbacks, Burrow, Mahomes. He spent five minutes telling me that he thinks that Justin Herbert is the best of all of them. He loves Herbert.”

Although in the 6-0 humiliation of the Pats, Herbert only recorded 212 passing yards and had a pass completion rate of 59.5%, he did lead the team to end their 3-game losing streak. The Chargers struggled on offense and were mostly carried by their defense. In the upcoming week, they will face their divisional rivals, the Denver Broncos which are currently placed above them on the AFC West division rankings.

But with Harbaugh’s claim and his confession of “love” for Herbert, is he setting the stage for something bigger?

Will Jim Harbaugh return to the NFL?

For now, it seems like the only way the Chargers are going to make it to the playoffs is through the Wild Card route. Many fans have already hung up their jerseys and merchandise and are looking forward to the offseason. In case the Chargers decide to show the door to Brandon Staley, who could possibly replace him?

After the Chargers unfortunately missed out on Sean Payton a year ago, who decided to join the Broncos, they are hoping that Jim Harbaugh will join their team. If Michigan ends up winning the National Championship this time, Harbaugh’s job would be done and he could finally take the leap to rejoining the NFL after a gap of 10 years.
