Are the Eagles' struggles a sign that Nick Sirianni has lost the locker room?

Philadelphia Eagles’ fans are not happy with their team this season. Although the Birds have an impressive 2-1 score, the main issue in the frame is the head coach. Nick Sirriani is under a lot of heat due to some of the calls that he made during these recent Eagles games. NFL analysts are trying their best to predict whether the team is revolting against its head coach already.

While talking to Sports Illustrated, Jalen Hurts confessed that he is confused about the team’s identity because, “we haven’t had our nucleus together to really go out there and create that.

Greg Jennings showed up at the Breakfast Ball and translated this ‘football talk’ to ‘people talk’. According to him, there is some “tension” in the team which Jalen Hurts’ statement resonates with. “That part is true and that part can cover up the idea, ‘Man I don’t know what this dude is doing. I don’t know what this guy is doing’,” added the former NFLer.

Craig Carton also claimed that some of his insider friends over at the Eagles say, “They hate Nick Sirriani.

Most of the hate that Sirriani is getting seems to come from the fact that he made a poor tactical call during Eagles’ fourth down right before halftime in their latest game. With less than 20 seconds remaining on the clock, the HC went for a normal down rather than a sensible field goal.

The Sports Illustrated interview of the Eagles QB wasn’t just about the bad stuff. On the contrary, he also seems hopeful about his team moving forward.

Jalen Hurts presents fans with a hopeful future

If Greg Jennings deciphered Jalen Hurts’ message correctly, then Sirianni is bound to feel all sorts of unpleasant emotions. Irrespective of what he meant to say, one thing is confirmed: the quarterback in question is not giving up on his team so easily.

In the same interview with SI, the 26-year-old from Texas saw the positive side of having a team-wide identity crisis. This allows the members to step up in the moments when they are required the most.

The beautiful thing is everybody has opportunities in these moments, and as you see last week what opportunity the guys had and stepped up,” said Hurts. He also claimed that at the end of the day, the Eagles just wish to play football, play it together, and win it together.

Philadelphia fans may be able to relax a bit after seeing the spirit that their signal caller has. But this doesn’t take away Nick Sirriani’s unfortunate calls from the picture.
