The Baltimore Ravens are bullying Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers right now on the field through their skills. Purdy went from being in the MVP race to facing one of the toughest challenges of this season. This game in particular could just be the 49ers QB’s worst game of the season considering how many interceptions he has thrown. The signal caller broke Colin Kaepernick’s record for throwing picks and the 49ers are paying the price for it.
In the wake of this game, some facts from Purdy’s past are also resurfacing on the internet. ESPN highlighted the 49ers signal caller’s shortcomings in a tweet and the fans are in two minds after this game. Up until now, the title of a ‘system QB’ didn’t carry much weight, but now, it’s all that the people are talking about and it’s not in a positive light.

Brock Purdy became the first 49ers QB to throw 4 picks in a single game. The last time it happened was back in 2015 when Colin Kaepernick was the QB. The signal caller threw 3 picks in the first half itself. Things were exacerbated even further in the 4 quarter when his pass was picked by Ravens LB Patrick Queen.

The pick happened after Travis Jones hit Brock Purdy’s arm, causing the pass to flutter and get into Queen’s hands. On the very next play, Lamar Jackson found Zay Flowers for a 9-yard TD pass, bumping the Ravens 30-12. This was the largest deficit the 49ers have ever faced in this season. The question is, will this game be a blemish on Brock Purdy’s career and his chances to become the MVP?
On the other hand, this game might propel Lamar Jackson to new heights. If the Ravens can keep the lead, it will be the most embarrassing defeat the 49ers will face this season. This day reminds us of the time when Purdy threw 3 picks in a game during his game against the Oklahoma team.

During the game against Oklahoma State back in 2021, Brock Purdy threw three interceptions in the 4 quarter. The last pick led to a game-decider and the match ended up in Oklahoma State’s favor. This happened because at the time Oklahoma State’s defense was second to none. Similar to today, where the defense of the Ravens completely left the 49ers shocked with the accuracy, along with the ability to catch on the mistimings and errors.
