It seems like nothing can stop Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice from participating in team practices. This comes in the wake of an investigation linked to his involvement in a high-speed multi-car crash in Dallas last month. At the time of the accident, Rice was driving a Lamborghini Urus, which was reportedly traveling at 119 miles per hour shortly before the collision occurred. After the incident, Rice, along with Knox and three others, reportedly left the scene without checking in on the well-being of others involved in the crash.

Unlike the Green Bay Packers, which had announced very lucrative incentives for players ranging up to $700k, the Chiefs hadn’t made any such announcement. But that doesn’t mean Rashee will not be attending the voluntary training sessions. In fact, he was seen running and practicing in drills in a training facility along with Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has resumed his professional duties with the team less than a week after he turned himself in to Texas police. Rice participated in the Chiefs’ voluntary offseason program, which began on Monday, contributing to meetings held via video conference under the guidance of the team’s coaches.

An X account shared a black-and-white video showcasing Rashee’s agility and speed through route-running drills. However, they were originally shared by Rashee on his Instagram and also contained a series of photos highlighting his strength training routines. The posts were accompanied by the track ’48 Laws of Power’ by rapper Hunxho.

Additionally, on April 3, Rice had taken to Instagram to express his remorse over the incident. In a story, he stated, “Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident. I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday’s accident.”

However, amidst many doubting his future with the team, HC Andy Reid expressed his unwillingness to let go of such a promising wideout.

Many fans questioned whether the Chiefs might release him. However, Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid indicated that the team is not ready to part ways with Rice just yet. During a Monday press conference, Reid discussed various team matters, including the controversy surrounding Rice.

He stated, “We’re just gonna take it day by day here as we go,” suggesting a cautious, wait-and-see approach to Rice’s situation. The legal process is still ongoing, and the Chiefs intend to let it run its course before making any definitive decisions. Reid also expressed a conditional willingness to continue working with Rashee Rice, provided he demonstrates personal growth from the incident. “As long as he’s learned from it . . . that’s the important part of it,” Reid explained.

The team’s recent struggles in the wide receiver position make the situation more complex. Losing Rice could potentially impact the Chiefs’ performance and their aspirations for reaching the Super Bowl, adding another layer of consideration to how they might handle his case.
