For everything he has achieved on the ground, Randy Moss is a bona fide NFL legend. The thing, though, that is even more commendable than this is his fight against cancer. The Vikings legend is a fighter on and off the ground and proved it as he returned to the NFL Countdown show just 2 months after he revealed he was battling cancer. Many of Moss’ friends and colleagues welcomed him back, making the legend emotional. Well, now his son has also taken to social media to share his reaction to that moment.

Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and many others shared some heartfelt messages for Moss, which made the former NFL WR tear up. His son shared an Instagram story, capturing the image of an emotional Moss, and wrote with it, Moss Cancer“. It is amazing to see the legend back to where he belongs and doing what he does best. Before this, the 47-year-old had made a virtual appearance on the NFL Honors show where even he had mentioned “Mossing Cancer.” 

Before announcing the Comeback of the Year award, Moss addressed his fans. He said “Good evening everybody. How y’all doing? It is great to talk to you tonight. I’m sorry I could not be there in person to join you all, but I want to send a special thank you to all of my doctors, my beautiful wife, my children, my family, my teammates, and all the prayer warriors out there. We are Mossing cancer and I can not wait to get back on television with all my guys.”

It has been inspiring to see Moss’ battle against cancer and how people have come together to support him. The Hall of Famer is now back where he belongs and it will be amazing to see him feature in the NFL Sunday Countdown Show for the Super Bowl.

Randy Moss’ colleagues broke a promise

The video segment that brought Moss to tears included heartfelt messages from several of his former teammates and friends. Apparently, his colleagues Mike Greenberg, Rex Ryan, Alex Smith, and Tedy Bruschi had assured Moss they wouldn’t engage in such a gesture. They acknowledged having “broken a promise” by telling Moss they wouldn’t “do that.” Well, it was an amazing clip, and it was great to see so many people supporting Moss.

Along with Brady and Belichick, a touching message from Marie Green was also included in the clip. She stated, “Faith, Family, Football—that’s what Denny always said, and now we will add fight because Randy, you are fighting, and you will win.” Denny Green was Moss’ coach during his time at the Vikings, and they shared a meaningful connection. Unfortunately, Green passed away at 67, but his family’s support will undoubtedly mean a great deal to Moss.

Randy Moss’ return to the NFL Countdown Show signifies not only his legendary career but also his remarkable resilience through adversity. His battle with cancer has inspired countless fans, teammates, and colleagues who stand behind him with immense support. Despite the emotional reactions from his friends and the touching messages that brought him to tears, Moss continues to be a fighter both on and off the field. As he progresses on his journey, his courage and determination remind us of the influence he has had, not only in football but in life. Witnessing him back where he belongs for the Super Bowl is truly a moment worth celebrating.
