Randi Mahomes can’t catch a break. Having your parents in a hospital bed is one of the most heartbreaking feelings. No matter how old you are.
Mama Mahomes is facing a difficult time while taking care of her ailing father, Randy Martin. She shared a heartwarming message on X, “Prayer warriors please pray for my daddy. He is in the hospital and is not well… his name is Randy.” Almost a month later, she shared another post. This time, she had a frightening encounter while driving.
Patrick Mahomes‘s mother posted on her ‘X’ account on Friday, “I literally parked my car & knocked on a guy’s window to wake him asleep at the red light.. yikes!” Although she didn’t mention the details, it seems like a dangerous situation.

Just before the traffic encounter post, she shared a pic of her son launching a new jersey for his college team, Texas Tech Football. The new gear co-branded by Mahomes and Adidas is called the Mahomes ‘Galvanized’ uniform.
This is one of the first times in history that an athlete’s brand has been included in a team’s official apparel. However, the happy moment was overshadowed by the incident she encountered on the road as fans were worried for Mama Mahomes’ safety.

Have an interesting take?
Randi got all sorts of responses to her update. Some expressed words of caution, while some netizens felt excited by it. A user wrote, “That’s dangerous! Call for a cop to wake the guy. If the dude was drunk, he needs to be off the streets. Cops can remove him from driving if he is impaired.” A bit of honest advice for drivers around the globe. Handling such situations yourself can be dangerous.
Another one echoed similar sentiments for Mahomes’s mother. “Careful, Randi. I suspect that person was under the influence.” It is, after all, not safe for people to drive under influence, and Randi herself could be in danger.
While most of the comments were full of advice to stay safe, one user shared her experience while working in the night shifts, “Working night shift hours as a nurse I have fallen asleep on the side of road many time.” Maybe Randi did a good job waking someone up behind the wheel, otherwise things could have been precarious. Moving away from that, one user shared similar incidents happening in their area, “In Tyler? Been alot of that lately. Some new drugs that stopping cars in the middle of intersects. It’s so sad.”

Moving away from serious talks, one user was curious to know how that would have felt for the driver who was woken up by Mama Mahomes herself, “Imagine being woken up by Patrick Mahomes mom…” Looks like he was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. Well, who isn’t? Fans really wish for Randi’s safety and the speedy recovery of her father.
