Recently, the Super Bowl champion’s mom beamed with pride as she attended the award event on her son’s behalf. Patrick, 28, notched his third ESPY award for Best NFL Player and was also nominated for this year’s Best Athlete in Men’s Sports at the 2024 ESPYs. But the Chiefs QB was not in attendance to accept the esteemed honor at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California.

During this star-studded evening, the matriarch of the Mahomes family spilled the beans on her special bond with Chiefs players. Randi raised the curtain on the particular name that Chiefs TE Travis Kelce addresses her with. Already a mother to Patrick, Jackson, and Mia, Randi disclosed that when Patrick’s BFF, Kelce, sees her, he often runs to hug her and calls her “Mama Mahomes, Mama Mahomes.”

The back-to-back champion’s mother also adored the ultimate vigor of Travis, 34, stating, “He is such a ball of energy.” Apart from that, in a candid interview with People, the social media influencer also revealed her deep closeness with the Chiefs players on and off the field. She stated, “It feels almost like a little family, you know. I love that.” She went on to explain her love for the Chiefs as a mom to the star QB, explaining, “I love meeting Chiefs players because you don’t always get to meet them all.”

However, this is not the first time the tight-knit bond between Mama Mahomes and the nine-time Pro Bowler Kelce has been displayed.

It was an eye-catching snap as she humorously compared her dad’s look with Kelce’s through a picture. The snap featured the Chiefs TE and her dearest dad.

Randi Mahomes disclosed in the caption that Kelce resembles her dad in many ways. She wrote, “Papa with the Travis Kelce mustache, I love it.” Yet another caption attached to the photo read, “My daddy with the mustache lol.”
