For instance, in February, Randi Mahomes’ only daughter helped her school win a big tournament. Mia led her All Saints Episcopal (Texas) to win the All Saints 6th grade basketball tournament. Hence, in this case, the 53-year-old momma has key advice for her children, which every sports parent should know!

To help with those pressure-packed situations, Randi Mahomes reached out to her trusted expert, Dr. Elizabeth Lombardo, and shared her wisdom with fans on Instagram.

In the video, Randi Mahomes asked, “There’s moments when Patrick and Mia have to make game-time on-the-spot decisions. What’s some advice that you can give for that?” To which, Dr. Lombardo replied, “So the best thing to do is to get out of that psychological red zone when we’re in a fight or flight state. So the best way to do that is to take a deep breath, inhale and then exhale twice as much.

She explained how this helps shift the brain back into rational thinking. “That will get your brain back into that frontal lobe, rational thinking, so they can make a very powerful and effective decision.” Like many fans, Randi Mahomes too loved the insight and wrapped up the post by saying, “That’s from a sports psychologist, Elizabeth Lombardo.” In this way she also answered a question which was generally asked to her by many fans.

Hence, sharing the same, Randi Mahomes dropped a caption saying, “People always ask me how I support my kids when they’re making big decisions, or needing advice as athletes!
