Mahomes became a three-time Super Bowl champion and three-time Super Bowl MVP with the Kansas City Chiefs. Arguably the best player of the contemporary NFL, his successes not only catapulted him into fame but also his mother. On the Kent Hance -The Best Storyteller in Texas Podcast, published in November 2021, the ‘QB Producer’ opened up about the other side of the coin and how she dealt with the naysayers.

I honestly, I pray for them,” shared Randi. She realized the trollers were here to stay and decided to remain quiet. “…and I’m like there’s nothing I can -do to control, a lot of time. It’s like biting my lip to just keep my mouth shut and don’t say anything.” However, there were times when Mama Mahomes couldn’t hold herself and would respond, only to get an unexpected reaction.

“You know, some people I’ve responded to, and they’ve come back and like “I’m so sorry, I really shouldn’t” and it’s made them kind of think like, you know, this is my child.” Randi further talked about how she would emphasize the depth of their actions to the haters. “You know, whether they hate the Chiefs or whatever. But I’ve told them, especially when I see it’s in a grown-up, “I’m like, I’m sorry you feel that way, but it is my child. And if I see they have kids, I’m like, I would never do that, and I’m sorry that your heart hurts.”

No matter how the online trolls try to tear the Chiefs’ star quarterback down, he has been proving them wrong with two back-to-back Super Bowls. Kansas City is already gearing up for their three-peat as the official team activities commence.

No one can be a better judge of the QB-WR duo than Andy Reid, and the head coach has high hopes for the newly joined Chiefs member. “He’s another one, a smart kid, and he just kind of gets it,” he said, as per SI. “Pat and he — there’s so much talking going on, which I look at, and I think that’s important. As long as the receivers are willing to listen and then share what they saw and it’s accurate, you normally can develop a pretty good relationship relatively quick as you go.”
