You might be guessing the mood in the Mahomes family would be a bit somber after what ended up being a humiliation at the Super Bowl LIX. Like chasing a 3-peat against a team whom you defeated two seasons ago to kickstart this journey couldn’t have gone worse. However, it seems one member of the family is already trying to cope with the loss by focusing on other things. And the one we are talking about here is none other than Mama Mahomes, Randi.

Minutes after the Super Bowl 59 concluded, with green and white confetti still pouring down in New Orleans. Randi had one message for the Chiefs Kingdom, reflecting on a humiliating night for her family. She only posted a simple red heart emoji on her X, summarizing her reaction to the Eagles’ drubbing. Then, after a few hours, when the dust had settled, Randi’s latest post on X gave a feeling that she had already moved on from the loss.

She tweeted, “When MGK plays a song from my era!!!! While with my fam! Love it..” Translation? Machine Gun Kelly may have just sung a song for Randi Mahomes at the Super Bowl. While we don’t know which song he chose to sing for Randi’s family, it surely happened last night. Cameras at the Caesars Superdome caught MGK sitting alongside Taylor Swift at her suite. So, maybe that’s when Randi met the rapper with him pulling out a song from her era. But singing isn’t the concern here. It’s Randi Mahomes’ love for MGK that needs attention.

See, the thing is, Kendrick Lamar had just performed at the Super Bowl halftime show. And he left no stone unturned by continuing his summer-long feud with Drake by singing the Grammy-winning diss track “Not Like Us.” But Drake isn’t the only person with whom Lamar is beefing. He also doesn’t see eye to eye with MGK. Going back a few years, when the ‘Rap Devil’ singer had just dropped a diss track on Eminem’s single “Rap God.” K Dot also decided to barge into the feud. Like Lamar once said, “MGK needs to respect the greats,” referring to him calling out one and only Eminem. And still, to this day, there hasn’t been any resolution to this beef.

With that said, we all know this feud between the rappers may just never end. And maybe Randi didn’t really have any intention of throwing Kendrick Lamar under the bus. But one thing is for sure: Patrick Mahomes was the one who got brutally humiliated with a loss of $1.5M paycheck after Super Bowl LIX.

Patrick Mahomes’ loss in the Super Bowl LIX wasn’t limited to missing 3-peat

What’s your perspective on:

Can Patrick Mahomes bounce back from this Super Bowl loss and reclaim his GOAT status?

Have an interesting take?

On the night when all eyes were yet again on one man that has almost single-handedly changed, the Kansas City Chiefs fortunes looked like an average QB, at the very least. Yeah, his final stat line may not look that bad, with 21 pass completions out of 32 attempts for 257 yards. But at some point, during halftime, Mahomes only carried a passer rating of 10.7. Like that was the fourth-worst ever for a QB at the biggest game of the year.

That is not really great for a QB who was trying to cement his GOAT status by completing a 3-peat. It was more embarrassing for someone who had made a habit of playing at the Super Bowl in the last 6 years with 5 appearances. But this time, he came up a bit short of winning his 4th ring before even turning 30.

Well, Mahomes didn’t just fail to etch his name in the NFL record books. He also couldn’t take home a $1.5M bonus for failing to deliver the Super Bowl. However, that failure to secure some cash wouldn’t really hurt as much as the loss must have. It may have been the end of the road for now for Mahomes and Co. Or, you could say, presumably the end of a Chiefs dynasty. That last lasted for almost a decade.

But everything could soon change yet again when you have someone like Mahomes on your side. He has vowed to return in his last message to the Chiefs Kingdom this season, “We will be back.”
