Randi Mahomes had a word of advice for Patrick Mahomes before his first Super Bowl in 2020. “This is once in a lifetime, take every single moment in,” is what she told him. But as we know Patrick returned to win the Super Bowl two more times. The latest win was followed by a glittering ring ceremony on June 13 and featured a special ring paying ode to Mahomes’ play from the title-winning night. But amidst all the glitz and glamor, the QB’s mother Randi Mahomes was missing.
The Chiefs are eyeing an unprecedented third Super Bowl win in a row. And if the franchise is able to accomplish that and make history, Patrick Mahomes can expect his mother to gate crash the next ring ceremony. Randi Mahomes made it clear that she won’t be sitting out the next time the Chiefs are celebrating a Super Bowl win.
Speaking on the Mom Game Podcast on June 21, Randi Mahomes recalled telling his son before his first Super Bowl in 2020 to take in the moment as it was special and you never know when you will get the chance to do it again. Being an event planner, she revealed that this is the same advice she would give to brides, but her son told her he would be back again. He has been back two times since then, but his mother hasn’t attended a single ring ceremony celebrating the Super Bowl wins.

“This year, though, I did say when they win because I speak it into existence, I’m going to the ring ceremony if I have to crash it, so if anyone wants to go with me I’m like I haven’t been invited to any of them, and I’m going to crash the ring ceremony,” Randi Mahomes said.
The glittering affair featured the Chiefs’ owner Clark Hunt, his wife Tavia, and his daughter Gracie Hunt. Head Coach Andy Reid made his way to the ceremony alongside his wife Tammy Reid and we also saw defensive coordinator Steve Spagnoulo and his wife Maria Spagnoulo. This was in addition to the Chiefs’ players and their WAGs attending the gala.
Gracie Hunt was one of those who shared snippets from the event and went live on Instagram. This left Randi Mahomes longing even more to be present alongside her son.
She mentioned,
“I was just really happy when um Gracie Hunt went live that night and I got to kind of watch it. I was like oh my gosh I’m watching it like I’m there but I’m not so I’m crashing the next one.” Although the single mother wasn’t happy about not being invited to any of the Chiefs’ ring ceremonies, she has continued her support for the team her son plays for. What’s your perspective on:

Sharing her excitement on the day of this prestigious event, Randi dropped a tweet with red and yellow hearts alongside three rings. But that’s not all, as the 52-year-old went on to share a Super Bowl LVIII introductory video that was originally posted by the Chiefs official social media handle.
The video she shared had a caption that read, “529 diamonds. 38 rubies. One back-to-back champion.” Well, diamonds and rubies were not the only thing engraved in last year’s Super Bowl ring.
It even had minute details like a “Tom & Jerry” diagram on them in coach Andy Reid’s handwriting, which depicted the game-winning play against the 49ers. The play saw Mahomes throw a 3-yard scoring pass to Mecole Hardman in overtime to win the game 25-22.
Brittany Mahomes also shared moments from the ceremony at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. with her fans on her Instagram stories. She shared a video of Patrick showing off his rings, with the caption, “THREEEEEEEEEE” across the clip. However, Randi didn’t only show her excitement for the ring ceremony by posting on social media. She sent two hearts virtually to her son and daughter-in-law, Brittany Mahomes, who were showing off their rings.
Patrick Mahomes had a diamond ring on his middle finger, while his wife Brittany waved her fingers with a diamond solitaire ring on them. Although Randi couldn’t have been present at the event herself, she did send her best wishes to the Chiefs QB.
Well, Patrick Mahomes was already thinking about winning the next Super Bowl, as he collected his third ring. But he would have to make sure his mother is invited to the ceremony if that happens because it looks like Randi would be there one way or another.
Meanwhile, on the podcast, Randi Mahomes also shared how things have changed for her personally, ever since his son became an NFL star.

Randi Mahomes opens up on the effect of son’s growing stature
During the Mom Game podcast, Randi revealed that as a single mother, she was used to taking care of her children by herself and tending to their needs. But when Patrick signed his rookie contract with the Chiefs in 2017, it turned their fortunes around in a big way and brought a change in her personal life as well.
She said, “It’s a new life, almost a new way of living. It’s a little different than the way we were living eight years ago and he would call me for money. I kind of enjoyed it whenever they actually needed me for money because my boys needed me for something.”

“And so, I’m like ‘Okay, they don’t even need me for money like to take them to dinner.’ They take me to dinner and I’m like, ‘Wait a minute,’” she added. Randi Mahomes also opened up on how the attention his son’s popularity brings means they hardly get to enjoy a meal together at a restaurant.
The three-time Super Champion’s mother continues to enjoy life while supporting her son and wife wherever she can. Just like his mother, can Patrick Mahomes continue to support his team while helping them secure the 3-peat? And if he does, will he invite Mama Mahomes to the ring ceremony this time around?
