On the day Puka Nacua returned to practice from a knee injury, the chatter started on social media, speculating Cooper Kupp’s trading rumors. In addition to that, another important figure of the Los Angeles Rams – quarterback Matthew Stafford, too, is allegedly considered the next trade of the franchise, after sitting at 2-4 with the team. So, now the question is, are the Rams really trading these two veteran players soon?

Well, to answer this, Rams WR Puka Nacua voiced the concerns of their fans on the trading rumors on the Zach Gelb Show on Tuesday. When asked about Cooper Kupp’s future status with the team, Nacua said, “Oh I guess that I hope that’s not true. That’s somebody in our locker room, a captain, and especially like (him), being able to say something.” In addition to that, Nacua also highlighted the brotherly bond he has developed with Kupp. He appreciated not just his influence on the field but also their deeper connection beyond football.

Explaining his point, Puka Nacua described Kupp as “somebody who’s influenced our locker room and especially influenced my game. And in such a positive way of being hoping that it’s a vital piece that we’re able to keep here.” He admitted that he would be “100%” disappointed if he learned about any future trade of Kupp. Not only this! Nacua also kept a similar tone while speaking about Matthew Stafford’s trade rumors.

During the interview, he appeared a bit shocked to hear Kupp and Stafford’s trading rumors. He laughed it off, saying he is not very active on social media after his injury scene. Hence, he hasn’t heard any of this news coming either. However, he expressed how much both Stafford and Kupp are central to the team’s success. And the idea of either of them leaving feels unsettling and disappointing to him.

Well, these rumored trades aren’t just unsettling for Puka Nacua. It’s also for Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp’s fans who are showing concerns on social media now.

Puka Nacua’s remarks must have made fans relax for a while!

Although Puka Nacua hasn’t admitted any of these trade rumors are true, people still express concerns online. For instance, one fan promised to not see the Rams’ games for two seasons. He wrote, “I swear to god if we trade Cooper Kupp I’m done with the Rams for at least 2 seasons.” That sounded like a true Kupp fan. Nevertheless, there was another LA fan, who wrote, “I’m not gonna lie, I was hoping the Rams would trade up and draft either Penix or JJ this year. Instead, we’re about to be without a QB and no Cooper Kupp.” Such reactions reflect the fans’ hurt by these unexpected rumors about Nacua.

The amount of hurt can also be seen from the comments like, “If the Rams trade Cooper Kupp no one talk to be (me) for 7 business days I gotta process,” or “In general, I’m all for the teams I support maximizing draft capital by cashing in on champion players who are aging and increasingly injury prone….but if the Rams trade Cooper Kupp, I might relinquish my entire sports fandom and start living off the grid in a cheap tent.” Whoa! That’s some difficult oaths. But the story doesn’t end here!

For Matthew Stafford too. One fan accepted that if they trade the QB, they will be devastated, saying, “I’ve gained a lot of new followers the last few days, I absolutely appreciate you all!! You probably don’t know, but I’m a huge Rams fan and Matthew Stafford is my favorite QB ever, even going back to when he was in Detroit. So, if the Rams trade him, I’m going to be devastated.” Not only this. Another fan too shared their emotions after hearing these rumors: “If we trade Cooper Kupp or Matthew Stafford I honestly might shed some real tears PLEASE LES SNEED CHILL TF OUT !!!

While some straightaway didn’t agree with the rumors. They said, “What the hell is this rumor? the #Vikings have already completed a trade for #Rams QB Matthew Stafford. WR Cooper Kupp, there’s no damn way this is legit #Skol.” In fact, one person requested the Rams to not trade the quarterback. He wrote in a commanding tone – “DO NOT TRADE MATTHEW STAFFORD.

Now we will see what happens next. Until then, neither Puka Nacua nor the Rams’ faithful want the organization to trade Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford.
