At 11:26 mark in the 4th quarter, the Raiders got ahead of the Jaguars by 19-14. Since then, Jags’ QB Mac Jones tried his best to get a touchdown but failed. Even with 59 seconds remaining on the clock, Jones passed the ball to his RB D’Ernest Johnson, who avoided CB Jack Jones’ tackle but was stopped by FS Trevon Moehrig. As the game approached its end, Aidan O’Connell spread out his hands, asking everyone to be patient. Antonio Pierce hugged his QB. However, it was a rare moment as fans weren’t really happy.

Many fans slammed the Silver and the Black for winning the game as they moved up than NY Giants in the overall league ranking. The fanbase believed that they could draft Sheduer Sanders by getting the draft pick 1 in 2025, had they stayed in the bottom position. But clearly, the head coach has other ideas. When asked about it in the press conference, he said, “Talk to Tom Telesco.” Not only the HC, but even the QB seemed uncaring about those rumors.

He was also asked the same question, but he totally changed it in a different direction and replied, “I don’t read anything, I don’t really hear it. I think ignorance is definitely bliss and that’s how I’m rolling.” After their win, the Raiders have a 3-12 win-loss record, while the Giants sit at a 2-13 record. However, Antonio Pierce would be more happy with a win rather than losing for the sake of a draft pick.

Even the college QB was watching the game. After the Jaguars lost, he tweeted, “Legendary“, showing his respect for the franchise. The owner, Mark Davis, also congratulated his players. He was also not fazed about the 2025 Draft and looked happy.

They snapped their 10-game losing streak. 84 days. The wait was too long. But it finally ended.

The first quarter wasn’t in their favor as the Jaguars took a 7-0 lead. But Antonio Pierce had put in a solid plan for the second quarter. O’Connell made a 29-yard pass to his WR Tre Tucker. The rival CB Tyson Campbell was on his tail, but Tucker slid and completed the catch at the 1-yard mark from the Jaguars end zone. The Silver and the Black completed the touchdown. By the halftime, they were ahead by 13-7. Ameer Abdullah scored the game-winning touchdown in the 4th quarter.

It was a good game. Both teams played intensely. However, the Raiders kept the possession for 34 minutes 18 seconds, while the Jags only had the ball for 25 minutes 42 seconds. But the win has come a bit too late. They are already out of the playoffs and now have given up the number 1 draft pick chance.
