Ahead of the Christmas Day showdown between the Raiders and the Chiefs, is Maxx Crosby supporting the opponent team’s QB? Speaking on his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby, the defensive end defended the 2x Super Bowl Champion’s outburst on the field after the referees negated the Chiefs’ game-winning touchdown.
Fans had never seen Patrick Mahomes so animated. Even his teammates had to physically restrain him from going off on the referees. He better hope the Raiders fanbase doesn’t come after him for defending Mahomes.

Reflecting on the Buffalo Bills game, the host and his guests discussed Mahomes’s outburst. Maxx Crosby, after joking that the NFL may fire him for saying what he was about to say and for calling out the referees, said, “Raiders fans will get mad at me. The call was crazy.” He said that it was very unfortunate that Kadarius Toney lined up perfectly at the line of scrimmage, and the referees could exploit that to call an offside.
He echoed Chiefs HC Andy Reid’s reasoning when he wondered if the referees should have warned the team that one of their players was on the scrimmage. But as the referees later explained, they were not mandated to warn the Chiefs, according to the NFL rulebook. In what will draw more ire from the Raiders fans, Crosby also went on to praise Travis Kelce for his lateral pass to Toney that helped him make the touchdown.
Maybe the Raiders can learn a thing or two from the Chiefs as they prepare for the Christmas showdown.

The Chiefs battered the Raiders last time
The Chiefs were 7-3 when they took on the 5-6 Raiders and went on to win the game 31-17. The first quarter was sloppy for the Chiefs, both on the defense and the offense, but the Raiders were unable to hold them off for as long as Kelce set a new league record for registering 11,000 yards in the fewest amount of games (154) for a tight end. It was also Reid’s 125th win in the regular season.
The Raiders vs. Chiefs game will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET on December 25, at Allegiant Stadium. In the 129 games that the two have played against each other, the Chiefs have won 73 times while the Raiders have won 54, and have tied twice. Unfortunately for the Raiders, the Chiefs have momentum on their side, as they have a 6-game winning streak over the Raiders. Can Las Vegas manage to upset the Super Bowl defending champions and snap the streak?
