With the regular season of football coming to a halt, several gears are turning in preparation for the next season. Several of the teams have to explore a new HC and one of the prime targets for many is Jim Harbaugh. But can his inclusion lead to Maxx Crosby leaving the Las Vegas Raiders?

The 60-year-old Harbaugh shot to the top of everyone’s list as he took Michigan State University to the CFP title. With the Michigan State looking to extend his contract further, the greener pastures of the NFL are also calling. But the Raiders might miss out if they do choose to go with him.

Crosby was drafted by the Raiders in the 2019 NFL Draft, and the DE has been with them ever since. Earlier, as former HC Josh McDaniels lost the faith of the locker room along with games, he was replaced by Antonio Pierce. And the 45-year-old has the backing of one of the stars of that locker room.

After the CFP victory, the Raiders and the Los Angeles Chargers have been in pursuit to hire Harbaugh. However, recent reports are suggesting that if the Raiders continue on this path, Crossby will end up making a trade request.

With Pierce at the helm, the Raiders have shown promise towards the tail end of the season. Even defeating the reigning champions, the Kansas City Chiefs at their home. Hence, it is expected that the team, including the 26-year-old Crossby, show loyalty to Pierce. But that situation might not arrive, as Harbaugh is the one with the final call.

So many options for Harbaugh

The former NFL Coach of the Year (2011) joined the MU after departing from the San Francisco 49ers in 2015. But his eventual return has everybody on their toes. At present, the Chargers seem to be leading the charge in bringing him back to the NFL.

But Harbaugh doesn’t lack suitors. Though several teams cannot match his price tag, Harbaugh can still join them for the challenge. But realistic suitors apart from the Raiders can be the Dallas Cowboys.
