Despite injuries all around him, the Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb had entered Week 16 with 94 receptions for 1,089 yards and six touchdowns. It turned out to be the fourth year he crossed 1,000 yards. But it seems there is another statistic that he has been racking up this season and it had done him no good. “I got fined a lot this year, bro, I’m like a target, I don’t get it,” Lamb said after he was fined a couple of times for uniform violations. “I do feel like I am dressing the same way as other guys, not saying they should get fined too, I just feel like I should not get fined either.”

For instance, his cleats in the game against the Carolina Panthers in Week 15 were green and grey. However, the NFL requires players to wear all-white cleats if they are not in their team’s color scheme. “Yeah. I tried, they not feeling me,” Lamb stated. The list of violations also includes his shirt being untucked and his socks being too low. But worry not, Lamb! Your fellow Cowboys players are joining you.

The Cowboys have managed to stir up some fivefold trouble this time. Jerry Jones’ squad went head-to-head with the Eagles in Week 17, where Nick Sirianni’s guys handed them a crushing 7-41 loss. Embarrassing? Maybe not so much for Dallas since they’d already kissed their season goodbye. But while the Eagles were dominating on the field, a few of Jones’ players decided to cause some trouble that the refs weren’t about to let slide.

So five Cowboys players landed on the game rules violations list, as per NFL’s Operations. (Well, at least they’re making it onto some list.)

These guys will have to pay a hefty amount to be on that list. Topping it is DE Osa Odighizuwa. The 26-year-old will pay $16,883 for roughing the passer (late hit) during the third quarter of the game. As per the NFL’s rulebook: Rule 12 Section 2 Article 11: “Because the act of passing often puts the quarterback (or any other player attempting a pass) in a position where he is particularly vulnerable to injury, special rules against roughing the passer apply. The Referee has principal responsibility for enforcing these rules.”

Catching up to their DE are offensive guard Tyler Smith and offensive tackle Terence Steele, both fined $11,817 each. Woah! That’s a lot of money. Both Tyler and Terence will pay for the unnecessary roughness on the gridiron. As per the rules: Rule 12 Section 2 Article 9: “For unnecessary roughness: Loss of 15 yards and an automatic first down. The player may be disqualified if the action is judged by the official(s) to be flagrant.”

Further, the team’s cornerback, Troy Pride, got hit with a $5,198 fine for an unnecessary hit during the 4th quarter of the game (Unnecessary roughness). Alongside him, WR Jalen Brooks also got fined $5,083 for the same reason. Well, playing the season’s Week 17 game turned out to be quite expensive.

Jerry Jones’s team is all set to host the Commanders!

Jerry Jones‘ squad, after paying a huge amount in fines, is also set to play their last game of the season. After this, they can rest up and sleep on their disappointing season.

For the final game, the Cowboys will be hosting the Commanders at AT&T Stadium. We hope the sun won’t be a problem for any of the teams, especially CeeDee Lamb. The athlete was unhappy about getting blinded by the sun and losing the ball on an incompletion, which kept him away from scoring a touchdown in the first half of their loss to the Eagles.

On the other hand, Jayden Daniels-led Commanders have made it to the postseason with 11 wins in their column. The young rookie has made quite a splash with his performance. Daniels has also been invited to the Pro Bowl. Woah! That’s quite an achievement.

In sixteen games so far, the 24-year-old has racked up 3,530 yards and has twenty-five TDs to his name. And let’s be real, it’s not bad for a rookie season.

Hopefully, he’ll be putting up more solid numbers in the future. For now, the Commanders’ QB is all focused on the playoffs. The Commanders will try to win this last one. For the Cowboys, it’s just another game. The finale’s coming up in a few hours, so grab your popcorn and drinks and settle in for another game at Jerry Jones’ place.
