The Pittsburgh Steelers are trying new things in the game against the Tennessee Titans. For the first time, NFL fans saw Matt Canada on the sidelines, and fans didn’t know what to make of it. However, JJ Watt has some clarity in his mind and wants to see him around all the time. Mike Tomlin’s decision to make Canada work overtime is the talk of the town, but now, this decision has taken over the internet.

Watt tweeted what he felt about the situation, indicating some good omen for the Steelers with the OC more present on the sideline. Maybe this is what the Steelers need to get over the dismal season they are having right now.

JJ Watt is stoked

The Steelers’ offense isn’t much to talk about, considering the kind of season they are having. We can’t pretend that it does not bother the Steelers. Maybe this is why Mike Tomlin urged the Offensive Coordinator to join him on the sidelines instead of calling plays in private from his booth. Usually, he just feeds the plays to the QB from his private space upstairs. This is what got JJ Watt excited, so much so that he wants to see him on the sidelines more often.

“Put him on the sideline every game!!!” tweeted JJ Watt. Maybe this is his seal of approval. Or perhaps he just wants Canada to be present on the sidelines rather than being a shadow coach. There has been some contention around the OC’s place in the team, considering the recent fan outrage about his abilities as the OC of the team. The “Fire Canada” movement is going pretty strong, and it’s apparent that the fans want no part of him.

Maybe this is the reason why JJ Watt wants him to be more present on the sidelines so that he can improve the team’s offense. The fans are not happy with Matt Canada at all, as they didn’t miss the chance to slander him online. Whether this change will be permanent or not is still a question. This came after Zach Gazelle walked up in a Commanders vs. Bills game with a sign that said, “FIRE MATT CANADA” in bold letters. It has even gone to the point where the fans even chanted “Fire Canada” in a Pittsburgh Penguins game.

The fans started the movement because it was a ‘fun’ thing to do. He didn’t know that the masses would resonate with him to such an extent. The Steelers fan started the movement with nothing serious in mind, but as it stands, they made things serious for Matt Canada. The outrage was impending as the team struggled to find a place in the top 20 in points, total yards, rushing yards, and passing yards through the first 7 games.
