The Philadelphia Eagles crashed out in the wild-card round as they lost 32-9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With this heartbreaking loss, the newly retired Jason Kelce talks about the season, in his retirement speech to the fans.
This loss and this season is going to haunt the Eagles squad for a long time to come. But for now, the Kelce brothers discuss their feelings regarding the Eagles’ epic collapse towards the end of the regular season and then in the first playoff game.

Jason Kelce admits the faults of his team
“The bottom line is nobody was good enough this year, down the stretch”, said Kelce talking about the loss and the season as a whole. The Eagles despite finishing the regular season with a whimper by losing 5 times in 6 games, there were still expectations that they’d be able to take out the Bucs.
But, the Bucs avenged their loss from Week 5. In the end, the loss brought on the untimely retirement of one of the biggest fan favorites of the game. And on the latest edition of the ‘New Heights’ podcast, Kelce got emotional.
On the podcast, Kelce couldn’t hold back his tears when talking about his final remarks on his storied career. “Everybody put a lot of hard work in”, said Kelce thanking not only the players and coaches but the staff as well. However, the 7X Pro Bowler holds concerns with the future of his team.

The Eagles keep marching forward
With Jason Kelce potentially retiring, amidst the terrible season, the Eagles will have to make wholesale changes for the upcoming season. One of the first changes could be the head coach Nick Sirianni.

With the routine exit meeting scheduled with the owner, Sirianni’s job could be on the line. Despite taking the Eagles to the playoffs in all the seasons he has been in charge, the circumstances under which the Eagles’ exited this time around are not routine.
