The 49ers’ head coach, Kyle Shanahan, recently revealed key injury updates before their pivotal Week 18 clash with the Rams. Shanahan said, “Armstead, McCaffrey, Dwelley, Thomas, Gipson Sr., and Ji’Ayir Brown are all out. Feliano, Jennings, McCloud III, and Gray are questionable.”

He also confirmed that a decision had been made regarding Ray-Ray McCloud III. He said, “He’ll be up,” while acknowledging an impending team roster move. The focus then shifted to Jason Verrett’s unfortunate injury. Shanahan described the incident: “He jumped up for a ball and just came down on his shoulder in awkward position.” He added, “He has to get rotator cuff surgery.”

Reflecting on Verrett’s challenging injury history, Shanahan expressed frustration without hesitating. He said, “It’s crushing for him… He was holding his arm in practice.” This revelation came after initial hopes that Verrett’s injury was not severe. As Shanahan went ahead to express the problems of the Niners, GM John Lynch came up with good news for the team at the same time.

The general manager of the 49ers, John Lynch, recently talked about Trent Williams’ presence in the next game. Recently, in an interview on “Murph & Markus” on KNBR 680, Lynch explained that Trent Williams would play in the next match.

Lynch noted that they plan to play Williams despite the 49ers resting numerous starters as they have secured the NFC’s top playoff seed. He is the All-Pro left tackle and will be seen on-field at least initially. He emphasized Williams’ excellent health and the coaching staff’s trust in his abilities.
