Football season is here! No more talks about boring stuff, because a month from now, the NFL season starts with a bang. But before that happens, a very important ceremony is about to take place. The Pro Football Hall of Fame! It’s about to happen in Canton, Ohio on August 5 and people can’t wait for their favorite greats to put on the golden jacket.
But even before that happens, there is an ultimatum. For what? Well, The Canton Repository Grand Parade, of course. The countdown has begun and in 2 days, the fans can enjoy the grand parade early in the morning. There’s more good news! The tickets are relatively affordable. So, what’s the agenda of this parade?
The Canton Repository Grand Parade will begin at 8 AM, so make sure you get your seats and grab a comfy spot. The parade starts in downtown Canton, Ohio — on Cleveland Avenue approximately 5th Street SW. Units travel north on Cleveland Avenue to 25th St. NW, where the parade begins to disband. The parade goes on for 2.2 miles.

Ticketmaster will help you with admission into the event and the prices range from $13-$15 depending on seat availability and position. The prices may be subject to change so if you want to attend the parade, make sure you get the tickets. Bleachers and chairs are only available for ticket holders but don’t worry if you don’t have a ticket.
You can bring your own seating arrangement but make sure you’re early to get the best spot. The event is supposed to be fun. You’ll see golden jackets current class of enshrinees, animal units, floats, giant helium balloons, and of course, the fanfare. There are some restrictions that you have to keep in mind, though.

It’s time for the Golden Jackets to come out
The 2024 class of HOF enshrinees is heavily oriented to the defensive side. Chicago Bears legends Devin Hester, Steve McMichael, and Julius Peppers are some of the former players set to receive the gold jackets on August 5, 2024. Other legends include Dwight Freeney, Randy Gradishar, Andre Johnson, and Patrick Willis.

But as commemorative and memorable as this event is going to be, some heartbreak will follow. Unfortunately, the Bears’ great, Steve McMichael is battling with ALS and has lost his ability to move or speak. He won’t be attending the event in Canton, Ohio, but will be there in spirits.

He has a pre-recorded message ready to be heard on the grand stage. Unfortunately, he can’t speak, so an eye-gazing device will be employed to share his message. “Hello Chicago. Thank you, Chicago,” is reportedly what the message is.
There are ups and downs in life and Steve McMichael has fought with all his willpower. The Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony is nothing short of inspiring and there is something for everyone to take away. Will you be at the parade?
