The Pro Bowl games are in full swing and there have been a couple of challenges already. Safe to say the Manning brothers did a great job training their respective squad. It’s time for snap shots and people would watch no one other than their beloved center Jason Kelce take a crack at it. However, the fans were in for a bit of a shocker.

Everyone is watching and the pressure is high on the Philadelphia Eagles center. Maybe this is the reason why he choked a bit during his turn and came out with a mere 5 points. It would seem like Kelce has already made up his mind about retiring the way he was taking those snaps. Going for 5 points, he mentioned “Go big or go home”.

Jason Kelce is going all out

NFL just shared a video on X titled, “Jason Kelce never gave up on the 5-point target and it finally worked out for him 😅”. It shows Jason Kelce snapping the ball one after the other but failing to put the ball in the hole several times. It took him more than 8 snaps to finally put some points on the board and managed to squeeze in just one and came out with 5 points.

Kelce didn’t throw the ball to any other spot because he was aiming for the center to get the greatest number of points possible for the NFC. He didn’t have any strategy by the looks of it and went straight for the double points, however, it was his go-hard or go-home mentality that helped him get to even 5 points in such a hurry.

There might have been other reasons behind this performance and one of them is the fact that this game is time-sensitive, and Kelce has to take as many snaps as he can in a limited amount of time.

The reason behind Kelce’s subpar snaps

Well, one of the main reasons behind Kelce’s disappointing performance is that he is not meant for long snaps. On the field, the snapping distance is usually less than what he just went through. Kelce is one of the players with the greatest number of snaps taken in the 2023 season and his numbers on the field are not sub-par at all.

Being the exceptional center that he is, snap is not the only thing he is responsible for. But if we are talking about it, he took 1,108 snaps in the 2023 regular season and completed 96.6% of those snaps. Those are near-perfect numbers!

Also, the Pro Bowl games are supposed to be fun, and Kelce is all about fun. The Fat Batman never fails to amuse, and he didn’t miss this opportunity as well.
