“We have an incredible kicker & punter, both older guys which I love”, said Rodgers on the podcast. The Super Bowl winner was talking about Thomas Morstead and PK Greg Zuerlein.
The 4X NFL MVP Rodgers referred to both players as “weapons for us”. He also talked about how he would love to have the duo back in the special teams even though their contracts are up. With only a day remaining before the free agency kicks in, Rodgers also talked about the upcoming draft!
GM Joe Douglas respects Rodgers’ opinion
With Hanes wanting to know Rodgers’ involvement with the Draft, the 40-year-old did not hold back. “It’s different at every team but the Jets have made a real concerted effort to involve me in conversations”, he said.

Rodgers also talked about his relationship with GM Joe Douglas. “I got a really good relationship with the GM Joe Douglas, and him and I talk all the time”, said Rodgers. However, he also mentioned the difference in responsibilities that both have for the Jets.
“They do a good job of …get my opinion on stuff but in the end you know they got the job to do, I got a job to do”, said Rodgers. He highlighted the fact that his primary duty is playing and leading the squad that the management assembles.
