The Las Vegas Raiders’ head coach, Antonio Pierce, was unwilling to show mercy toward the Los Angeles Chargers. After a halftime lead of 42-0 against the Chargers, the Raiders wanted to push the pedal and humiliate the visiting team even more. The Raiders hosted the Chargers at their home stadium, Allegiant Stadium, and the home team didn’t leave any casualty in humiliating their guests.
After the first half, HC Pierce advised his boys to go all in to carry forward the humiliating stint. Doing so would have dominated the Chargers harder than in the first half.

In the Raiders’ history, the team never had a halftime lead of 42-0. However, adding to the list of achievements, the Raiders became the second team in NFL history, after the New England Patriots, to have this huge lead. The Patriots hold the record of 45-0 halftime lead against the Tennessee Titans, and the Raiders boast a record of 42-0 against the Chargers.
The Raiders’ offense dominated the Chargers’ defense. In the first half, the Raiders scored six touchdowns, with quarterback Aidan O’Connell scoring four. Moreover, the Raiders capitalized on the Chargers’ three turnovers; it seemed like everything was in the Raiders’ favor.
